What a load of pure unadulterated B.S.!

So many words, so little actual truth or facts.

As you may have noticed, those spiny tea partiers, are not doing so well politically. What you will get with a fractured party is democrats in office for a very long time. Enjoy!

The Tea Party is taking over the GOP.

It is not easy and the fight will get nasty, but the ruling class of elites will not consist of Republicans for very long.

Let's see if Democrats have the same fortitude to clean-up their political party, eliminating the lifetime politicians.

Premier, it is false that labor unions and Congress are exempt from the ACA.

Why were there complaints about the closing of national memorials? You don't get to back a govt shutdown and then get angry when various functions of the govt get shutdown. You asked for it. You got it.

Why should Republicas "get anything" for holding the nation hostage? Why should hostage takers get rewarded for their efforts? That whole mess was akin to domestic terrorism.

Erik, you are so correct in that the Tea Party is taking over the GOP and therein lies the problem. Good luck in '16. You are definitely going to need it...

You've got to understand the least-educated. How are you possibly going to entertain those folks...with "actual truth or facts".

Think about it...you're competing with NASCAR!!!

I'm thinking we'll (Dems/Libs/Progressive) more-than-likely stick with what's PROVEN to work.

Good letter, Mr. Hasselman. I am thankful that the Tea Party is trying to put the brakes on the federal government's rush to financial ruin and unconstitutional power grab.

So it is the RINOs who are destroying the Republican party and making things difficult in DC.

Sorry but it is the hardline extreme conservatives who have tarnished the GOP. Then you have the wishywashy libertarians who have hitched themselves to the GOP are not much help either. The Republican party is deeply fractured and they are not going to get any better. The worst thing to happen to the GOP is the Tea Party.

One thing is for sure, there is no fight for the reins of the Democratic Party. They have already purged themselves of their "DINOS" and all that remain are the radical extremists.

The Republican Congressional leadership equivalent to Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would be Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

Sorry, I just couldn't bring myself to throw Michelle Bachman in there, although she is probably a closer match to Pelosi as far as extremist views go.

LOL

'Those who follow the law and the Constitution are extremists!' Well actually they follow conservative dogma not the law and the Constitution.

Gavin you are really reaching with your posts.

Instead of cuts, it would be a good idea to just quit increasing government spending for new programs.

The truth that is hurting is how much the conservative extremism is hurting the GOP.

Here is an ideal. Go on your own an let the GOP alone. I wonder how long the tea party would last with out the GOP backing of the Koch brothers.
