Abandon ship

November 4, 2013

The launch of the flailing, leaky hulk known as ObamaCare was preceded by the statement from Nancy Pelosi, the Wicked Witch of San Francisco, that "we have to pass it to find out what's in it....

Wow!

I almost get the idea that Jon has some type of reason to dislike President Obama in particular and the Democrats in general, maybe just a tad or skosch

I'll bet that Jon said the same thing back in the mid 30's about Social Security.

Gee, I hope this doesn't mean that you won't be sending a contribution to the National Democratic Committee this year, Jon.

Teabagger syndrome maybe?

If the LTE's and posts represent the general population, it looks like the Tea Party may become a majority party.

I think that I will go make a cup of black breakfast tea, with no sugar!

I'll take "Teabagger syndrome" any day over zombie liberals. This is a very good lte. Don't put much faith in polling data that shows Tea Party as losing ground, the Tea Party is just starting to wind up. Those like Cruz and Lee may not be favored by the DC elitists of both parties but average Joe and Jane America that still have functioning brain cells stand with them. Time to show the milqtoast Republicans the door once and for all and then concentrate on sending the positive message of "We the People have had enough of your reckless spending and will not tolerate the continued growth and intrusiveness of the federal government. You cannot spend us into prosperity or tax our way out of poverty. These failed liberal, big government policies are leading to the erosion of the American Dream."

The debacle of the Healthcare dot Gov website is just a tiny example of government incompetence.

Wastes of money, like this website, occur throughout government.

Let's frame the argument so some liberals might understand..... how many people could have been fed, or given healthcare with that $600 million?

Can you say "GOODBYE" to Democratic control in the Senate? Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi stood steadfast with this junk law, i hope they get what they deserve, thrown out on their worthless butts! "You can keep your doctor and your health plan....PERIOD" Obamas words, PERIOD. LOSERS, PERIOD! My words.

"The panic in the Senate and the House is spreading as Obama's loyalists realize that the "Affordable" Care Act is anything but rather, it's a multi-billion dollar Ponzi scheme and is endangering that most precious commodity: the cushy Washington job." - Jon Smith

Yeah...we need to protect a MORE "precious commodity", for the marketplace; $UB$IDIE$!!!

See:

Sacramento Gray Panthers Prescription Drug Plan Medicare Part D

- Under the MMA, Congress set aside $10 billion for an unnecessary subsidy (or "stabilization fund") to regional PPOs.

- Consumers are getting hurt and taxpayers fleeced, while insurance companies and drug manufacturers are raking in money faster than they can count it.

A simple question......can anyone name a single thing the federal government has done right since WWII?

Thinking....thinking....thinking.

Well, there was the Berlin Airlift way back in 1948. Other than that, nada.

Virtually everything else the feds have done has either been overbudget, counterproductive, unconstitutionally oppressive, breathtakingly mismanaged or just plain crooked.

Yet there really are people out there who think the feds are going to do a wonderful job managing our healthcare?

Ya can't fix stupid.

It is the republicans who are making it bad. You have Republicn Governors not taking extra funding from Medicare, not setting up exchanges and not working to get better insurance rates for the people in their states. The tools are there and the republicans are refusing to use them.

The web site is fixable, that can not be said of the obstructionist attitude of the republicans.

Great example. A well-meaning but poorly written, poorly executed package of legislation. Good intentions don't count -- results count, so look at the results by comparing the lot of American Blacks today vs 1960. Yes, the feds legislated their freedom but the feds also legislated them into economic slavery. Look at the stats: 68% of all black babies are born out of wedlock. Blacks constitute 13% of the pop. yet they commit nearly 70% of all violent crimes. Running out of room here, but yes....LBJ's Great Society screwed them far more than the KKK ever could.

Mr Shaman and Mr Reeder- The Democrats and the President have done everything in their power to destroy the Republican party and you know it, BUT !, this healthcare law is all yours and you can't deflect that any longer by blaming the republicans or the tea party..*****it up and admit your wrong on this. It needs to be repealed now, it is not going to work.
