I agree with many other’s on this post when I say.....What does this mean? What are you referencing? Who are you referencing? It sounds like you are in conflict! Ms. Bierly have you ever heard this phrase: Let not your tongue mention the shame of another, for you yourself is covered in shame, and all men have tongues.

FROM "MAUNDER239" :"Individuals who hide behind fictitious screen names or use the strategy that if you tell a lie often enough it somehow becomes truth are beneath contempt and should be shunned. I will do just that." signed Raye L. Bierly

So what is Maunder239? You just went and shunned yourself! Toilet paper is in aisle 5.

Is this the same Raye Bierly who is on Save Our School District Facebook website spreading her misleading, false, unfair, fraudulent and defamatory lies? I do not see you answering any valid questions on that site as with this one. Yes, she told us all! Love, Ruth

I also believe there is a general misunderstanding of the policy for posting at this website and the application of the First Amendment.

“I would check the user rules of the policy. That would seem to be the most relevant. But I think that the editor can make that call — as long as consistent with the site's rules on commenting. At the same time, if the third party defames someone, that is not protected by the First Amendment. Hope that helps.”

Caroline Little President and CEO Newspaper Association of America

The Sun Gazette policy from its website: It is a condition of your use of these Services that you exercise your best judgment and do not: Post any material that is threatening, false, defamatory, misleading, fraudulent, unfair, etc.

Individuals who hide behind fictitious screen names or use the strategy that if you tell a lie often enough it somehow becomes truth are beneath contempt and should be shunned. I will do just that.

I believe it may not have been a wise decision for a public school teacher to participate in an organization that wrote and published false ads against current board members, create a website that attacks the same district she works for, and helped fund along with that organization new board members campaigns. If I were in your situation, I would probably not want the public to know that either. Why would the current board go on record spreading lies and innuendo about you? Verifiable facts are not lies.

Maunder239, while much of what you say is true, and comments that attack others are uncalled for, this is still America and we still have freedom of speech; even to the point where a "church" is allowed to protest military funerals. The SG monitors this site and it is their discretion as to who they choose to shut down or what comments to eliminate.

I also believe individuals who publicly attack and defame the good name of others through lies and innuendo while hiding behind childish or fictitious screen names or do not sign their name are cowards and don't deserve the privilege of making comment at this or any other website. Read the policy and you will find you are in direct violation of that policy. If you would like to continue this discussion like responsible adults, tell us your real names otherwise your statements are worthless! Raye L. Bierly

Prior to the 2013 primary election the President of the Jersey Shore Area School District teachers union made a statement, "We're going to load-up the board." During the primary campaign for school directors, Mr. David Hines, who was recruited by the union, stated in his campaign ad that he was concerned about the reputation and integrity of the board. Mr. Hines accepted campaign donations from the President and VP of the teachers union. Wouldn't a school director's integrity be tainted when voting on or negotiating teacher's contracts, policy or other matters that could ultimately result in higher taxes if he accepted money from officers of the union? --Bob Pryor 10-27-13 LTE Raye Bierly is the President of the union. Apparently she is upset due to transparency of the facts?

I read this twice, and I think the writer may be referring to an employer who either interferes with its employees voting by not allowing them to miss work to vote, and/or is publicly maligning its workers (?)

That's the best I can do.
