American does not have a hub in Pittsburgh or Dulles.

A CRJ to Chicago is a possibility.

Actually, the airport can handle larger aircraft, but there is a lack of demand.

Or they might get a jet engine plane, like an e170 or md80 but i dont think our airport is large enough for the md90 or 787 a320 that would make a longer flight, plus we simply dont have the customer base for that.
