Rewarding dishonesty

November 20, 2013

While a disappointing thirty-some percent will never admit it, Barack Obama has trouble with the truth. It's quite obvious now, but many saw this before his re-election....

Well, well, something we've been hearing about for years, finally comes out.

"A recent Baltimore book store—Red Emma’s— announced an appearance event byBill Ayers promoting his recent book “Public Enemy,” the Red Emma’s book store post states the following:

”Ayers reveals how he has navigated the challenges and triumphs of his public life with steadfastness and a dash of good humor — from the red carpet at the Oscars, to prison vigils and airports (where he is often detained and where he finally “confesses” that he did write Dreams from My Father)”

Liar-in-Chief anyone?

"USA, Googling an article is not a citation. The validation is based on reliability of the article's source."

What a lazy attitude!!!

That comment is simply trying to wriggle out of doing your own research! Liberals always want others to do their work for them.

Conservatives will lose in 2016. This area is not representative of the country. Sorry but "old" voters dominate here. "old" voters are generally conservative. USA, Googling an article is not a citation. The validation is based on reliability of the article's source.

Cap,

I believe that Obama has served to show this country what they once took for granted. Indeed, I hope your assessment is incorrect with respect to not accepting a conservative. :)

You should all read Double Down. Great book, following Game Change, about the 2012 election. Goes into both sides and party maneuverings.

"Now comes this bombshell from Jerry Zeifman, who supervised a much younger Hillary Clinton when she worked as a staffer for the Watergate committee: 'A lifelong Democrat, Mr. Zeifman supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy’s chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation – one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career.'

"Why? "Because she was a liar," Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.'" —Baltimore Sun, May 2013

She's been lying and scheming a long time.

Garben78, my post at 5:19 was not opined by Sham,Reeder,48&2 or any other liberal nonthinker! It was pun. Got it? A lot of others didn't either!

The candidate with integrity and honesty is doomed. -Keith

Agreed. And you'll never see a candidate running on a platform that he/she will uphold the constitution because it's not flashy enough and it doesn't offer anyone anything except a government doing exactly what they are suppose to be doing.

Shul- "Obama thought he was telling the truth"??? OK, Bush thought he was telling the truth about Iraq, Clinton thought he was telling the truth about Monica. The only difference with GWB and WJC is that they didn't have a half dozen scandals going on before they "misspoke". What tools you libs are; right in there with Pelosi and Debbie Wasaman Schultz.

I notice when things detrimental to the left come out, that libs use this ploy to get around a REAL comment.

Well spike, just google "census bureau cheats on jobs data" and you will have well over 100,000 sources. THEN give us a comment. Perhaps you can justify the lies?

There are conscious lies and unconscious lies.Obama thought he was telling the truth when he said people could keep their insurance. However, when he said to Jay Leno, "we do not have a domestic spying program" it was a straight face, conscious lie. He knew he was lying or watering down the truth. Now, on healthcare, he genuinely believes things are going to be better. He's not lying. Whether he's right or wrong is another matter.

Thank you, David. That was the point of my letter. One guy promises X; the next one, X+1, and so one. Blatant lies in commercials gobbled up by supporters. The candidate with integrity and honesty is doomed.

DavidBross, Is that an admission that Obama only won the election because stupid people and freeloaders are allowed to vote?

Here's an idea. No one who receives more money from the government than they pay in taxes should be able to vote. Representation without taxation is as damaging to the well being of the people as taxation without representation.

Um, I'm pretty sure Premier was being sarcastic in his 5:19AM comment.

For those mentioning Bush, two or more wrongs don't make a right. The two liars I referenced are the President and the front runner to replace him. If you think some GOP liars should be included, write your own letter.

President Obama said you could keep your health insurance if you like it because, if he told the truth, he would not have been re-elected.

President Obama said the economy is doing well and ordered the Census Bureau to publish fraudulent unemployment numbers because, if he told the truth, he would not be re-elected.

President Obama said Al Qaeda is in the run and Benghazi is due to an obscure video, because, if he told the truth, he would not have been re-elected.

Keith makes a great point. We get the elected officials we deserve. Look at the low voter participation and the campaign ads that should insult anyone older than a 2nd grader. Could the Founding Fathers have been onto something when they initially resisted giving all citizens the right to vote? If so, the implications are disturbing.
