"Corbett vowed not to raise taxes, including motorist fees, during his campaign for the governorship, but during the Capitol news conference said simply that he did not agree that the transportation bill broke those promises." "The bill also contains tens of millions of dollars for discretionary accounts that lawmakers and Corbett administration can direct. Corbett's office said he will sign the bill next week." This is amazing. The state can't be trusted to manage the money that would have come from a severance tax on gas wells to be paid by corporations, but can be trusted to handle money collected from citizen taxpayers.

He knows he's going to lose the election so now it's no holds barred! This is what I'm waiting to find out: How much will the tax on diesel be as compared to the tax on gasoline? That will be very telling. Big oil and gas, as well as corporations use diesel powered trucks and will likely get a big break from Corbett while we pay out the ear with our tax. Just another way this slippery snake is slamming the middle class! Don't bother complaining about it, he doesn't care and neither do our reps in the house. They will all keep getting their COLA raises.
