"The answer is one can disagree with the policies of President Obama without being a racist. The real question is can one disagree about policy from President Obama without bringing his race into it? That would apply to both the left and the right."

I would have to agree Chuck. Whether you are using race to disagree with Obama's policies or to defend them, either way it is a sign that you have nothing substantial to back up your argument. And with regards to this message board, the only time I have seen race brought into the discussion was when a few choose to use the race card to defend Obama.

Exactly, Cap. Shaman routinely calls people racist for opposition to Obama's policies.

And to Chucks question about 'Caucasians' having their rights violated, I would simply point to Affirmative Action whereby preferential treatment is mandated for minorities and women.

It is many liberals who inject racism into any criticism of President Obama's policies, not just Shaman.

I would like to see Mr. Reeder quote a criticism of President Obama's policies that are racist.

Let us have a clear, common ground before we go forward.

I suspect Mr. Reeder will see racism in a statement where others do not.

Erik is right to point out that not one charge of racism made by the Left is ever backed up with an explanation. The racism they claim is always implied. Just once I would like to see someone on the Left take a

Sorry - continued

Just once I would like to see someone on the Left take a quote and explain to us why they are calling it racist.

'Because I said it was' is not a valid claim. Go back and read all the charges of racism made by the Left ahd that's the only explanation they have. Intellectual laziness, simple as that.

I read this LTE once with the greatest of difficulty and promised myself not to read it again because I don't want my mind in a mush like state the rest of the day.

With that being said what in the world was the point Reeder is trying to make?

Liberal gibberish decoder ring needed please.

Remember Libs, racism applies in both directions. When you claim that a criticism of this President when there is clearly none, what does that make you?

Just once I would like to see someone on the Left take a quote and explain to us why they are calling it racist. -Vince

And just saying "you're not fooling anyone" doesn't count as an explanation. Vince, I too have asked for justification for the many times I've been called a racist on these boards, and I've yet to hear any. Like I said, if you have to resort to using race as a way to defend policy, then you are lacking anything substantial to back up your stance.

"The real question is can one disagree about policy from President Obama without bringing his race into it? That would apply to both the left and the right."

At a recent campaign-style immigration appearance, Obama said, "Just looking at faces, I could tell there were some folks who are here not because they were born here..."

Now, imagine if Mitt had said that. Outrage! There are hundreds of similar examples of Liberal pols, pundits and others getting a pass for racist statements that would have doomed a Conservative.

To say "bringing his race into it" applies equally to Left and Right is to lie.

"To say "bringing his race into it" applies equally to Left and Right is to lie."- Ritty77

Mr. Reeder knows this is a lie, but, like so many liberals, he uses the lie to cloud the minds of readers, hoping they see balance rather than the absolute distortion of reality.

Liberals - Please cite the racist comments contained within criticism of President Obama's policies.

Claims of racism is only one of the things the left uses instead of trying to defend their indefensible ideology.

True.

Liberals also blatantly lie about their opponents while also lying about liberals programs, like Obamacare.

Not only do liberals misuse racism and lies, they also engage in hate.

This morning, upon hearing the news of actor Paul Walker's death, feminist editor, Erin Gloria Ryan, Tweeted a lament, wishing it would have been Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, instead.

She has since apologized, but, like the hateful comments for former VP Cheney and former President Bush, during their health crises, liberals show their hatred on a regular basis.

Is there anyone who did not foresee, in Nov. 2008, the accusations of racism looming, regarding any and all criticism of B.O.? These accusations are vitally important to Liberals for maintaining future power, by keeping people convinced they are "victims", that cannot prosper without them.

Not only do progressives freely lie, they’re unable to differentiate between truth and lies in their own minds. Their ideology is far more important to them than truth or facts.

I agree with Chuck and Cap. and Erik, with one exception. I am not much of a talk radio person, however, Limbaugh is racist and sexist, Beck is nuts and then we have multiple lower level players. There seems to be less liberal talk radio or am I mistaken? i think we all need to remember all media is for profit first. Ginning up a base, with half facts, on both sides is productive. telling target groups anything they don't want to hear will lessen the audience.

Spike:

Leftwing talk radio is dead because it failed to attract listeners or the hosts made outrageous comments that got them fired.

MSNBC is a great example of intellectual vapidity and hatred with regular slurs against minorities and women.

"Limbaugh is racist and sexist" - spike

Disagreeing with Obama's policies doesn't make a person a racist & calling Sandra Fluke a sl ut does not make a person a sexist. Please cite other examples.

I believe Limbaugh has made many more comments than the Fluke fiasco. If you do ascribe to his statements re: Flook, then I assume all your wives or daughters who receive b.c. under an insurance programs have loose morals, correct? Erik, do you agree that Fox and CNN are also intellectually vapid? Do you really believe any of these talking heads actually have original thoughts?

Spike, I'm curious why you didn't include MSNBC? I agree that mainstream news media is anything but responsible journalism, but it's the same whether they lean left or right. Personally I try and stay away from any of them. If you want fair and balanced reporting of U.S. news, try BBC.
