Thats a 10,000 sq foot building although it is close to the prison it is an entrance to the city, we see too much ugly on first impression, the beltway overlooking Stamans & the ugly old buildings across from the sewage treatment plant. Actually Williamsport is so beautiful but we do give a bad first impression. We do need to get the mandatory dui"s out of the prisons, I agree it is a waste but at the cost of a 10,000Sq foot building, I dont think so.

Typical liberal. We need another prison and they want to reform. There are not enough prisons in this country

Since when did "typical liberals" start saying we're not following the Constitution or yearn for a return to previous, supposedly lost, attitudes and standards, or advocating religious teaching in public schools?

The brains that be screwed up big time when they didn't take one of the school buildings recently sold. As I have repeatedly said, bathrooms, showers, dining room, kitchen, etc., would have been great not only for Day Reporting, but for non-violent prisoners. A school room could have held at least 6 or 8 prisoners with no crowding.

And I suppose the LTE writer likes this because he or she owns the building what a great plan

Well, if the schools are no longer an option consideration should be given to empty churches, especially MD on the corner. Perfect spot, all the facilities, room including kitchen, etc. I know I am going to get some negative feedback on this but what better way to help those in need (WWJD?). I realize the mayor and the old-time churchgoers think otherwise but I have one word, hypocrite. Put your words into action....not just on Sundays. Just my opinion...
