Yox,

Are you calling scholars (secular and theologians) liars on the existence of Jesus as a person on this earth? Tell me then, how can you prove to me that George Washington existed? You weren't there, you don't know with any certainty?

As for wizardry? That exists even as we speak. Breathing dragons? We have no idea what creatures were destroyed in the flood, so the "great leviathans" that the Bible speaks to ....... well.....

Your problem doesn't lie in the existence of God as man, your problem lies in who He was and why He came.

Yoxtheimer,

Only a fool would say that Jesus Christ is fictional. There are atheists who would admit that Jesus was a real person who did live on this earth.

As for working, you stated Corporate...what corporation?

"I've always had to work Christmas because the greedy corporations I've always worked for make me while they pretend to be good Christians and live off the backs of the working poor. So have a merry Christmas rmiller with your imaginary friend Jesus."

Quite an indictment there...can you support your evidence?

It really makes me wonder WHY every letter has to turn into political bashing.

This woman wrote a nice letter for all readers to read and some just have to ruin it.

So Mrs. Yeagle from me thank you for your letter and Merry Christmas to you.

Some people here are not experiencing goodwill at all even though they think are.

This is a well intention and thoughtful letter ruined by some of the comments posted here.

Shaman, we'll all say a special prayer for you today. ;}

*

I'll settle for a Lottery-win.

Of course you would. If you saw a blessing coming your way you would probably swat it away like an annoying gnat.

RMiller - Sham doesn't get a pass. Erik is smart, he is capable of better. You do have an absolute right to pray. You should not have a right to subject a non-believer. Pray, don't pray, just stop trying to change others. (not directed solely to RMiller) This is still a great letter no matter one's impetus.

I know - let's all take a beautiful LTE and turn it into the usual petty bickering and childish attacks in less than 30 or 40 posts. The heck with all that "cast the first stone" and "turn the other cheek" nonsense.

Yoxheimer, stay at work on Christmas then, don't take the Christmas bonus or the meal they provide or any of it, if you work. Hope you don't have children, you must be a joy to live with.

Mr. Zook, don't you know how bad the Sun is sometimes at misspelling your words, using punctuation improperly or grammar mistakes? I've seen it a lot.

Yoxtheimer,

You aren't forced to honor this special holiday anymore than I am to take part in Halloween. I have a question for you, though.

Are you off on Christmas?

The wwe(WWF) has been attacking Christianity since at least the 80. 80s had the "Brother love" character bases of televamgalisist. 90s saw Steve Austin use the John "3:16" as if he was a pro weassler, sent from God. Now, Jack Swagger mocks the Tea Party. Who said the ReqlAmerican would always side with liberals?

Good for you USA for taking Sham to task.

JohnZ,

" To the writer- I'm sorry you must have had to quit school before learning grammar. But, if they let you graduate with only knowing this level of punctuation, you were cheated. I trust you are the exception, not the rule. "

How unkind! What she lacks in English and grammar, she makes up for in compassion, something you are sorely lacking.

No, I don't think anyone, of any, party has any right to attack Christmas. Bill Maher has no problem with it though. The makers of South Park have been doing it since the mid-90s.

Spike,

Eric pointed out, and duly noted the attack on Christianity. I believe people are being unfair to Eric and giving Sham a pass. What was the point of Sham's post, outside of an attack?

Ditto American Citizen and Texas and Radio and Cap, and then we get to Sham/John....

Why am I not surprised. Eric is correct, the assault came on the Christian's absolute right to pray and put Christmas in a gentle light. You just couldn't help yourself, could you?

"Be kind and give to others, that is the true meaning of Christmas."

After all, the human race got the greatest gift ever given to man, the person of Jesus Christ.

Like it makes up what greedy vile ugly Americans we are all year. -Yoxtheimer

It's sad you have such a low opinion of your fellow Americans. Have you ever asked yourself why many nations turn to Americans in their time of need? Have you not witnessed how Americans come together during any tragedy to help those in need? Say what you will but I find us Americans to be some of the most compassionate people in the world.

"Shaman you are a typical liberal."

There are a number of liberals on this "forum", and while I disagree with most of their comments, the vast majority are nowhere near the calibre of Sham! I have found myself agreeing with lots of liberal comments on occasions such as this one. Sham is just a sorry excuse for a human being!

I worked for a company once that contacted an agency that worked with underpriviledged children. They got a list of names & ages and then hung a tag for each child on the tree with name, age & sex (in case it wasn't obvious). The workers would take a tag, by an appropirate gift and put the wrapped gift under our tree. When the tree was empty of tags they were delivered to the organization. It went over so well that it was repeated year after year. That tree was empty of tags quickly.
