Bravo! By the way, do you ever wonder what happens to politicians who say anything negative about the Israelis? They seem to just vanish and are shunned by all. It's amazing how influence the Israelis have on the U.S. government.

Alison, you are showing your naiveté.

How do you integrate people who do not recognize your right to exist?

How do you integrate people who do not recognize your religious freedom?

I am sorry, but the burden is on the Palestinians to act like human beings that respect their fellow men and not like bloodthirsty animals who kill others based solely on religious beliefs.

How does Israel negotiate with people who proudly say that their goal is the elimination of Israel? How do you compromise with people that want you dead?

"Making a genuine effort to negotiate a Palestinian state would be an excellent start." - Alison Hopper

That would CERTAINLY take the "wind outta the sails" of those terrorists who CLAIM their primary-issue is statehood (for Palestine)...when TOO-many of them are (actually) pushing for political-oversight by the faith-based folks!!

No doubt. It's NOT like we've got a shortage of bloodthirsty anti-Islamists, in THIS Country!!!

It's "interesting" how the Israeli's treat the Palestinians like dogs and completely forget about their treatment during the Holocaust. Take the Sinai village of Yamit in the early 1970s. The Israeli's came in and gave the locals 1 day to get off the land. It's bizarre how this teeny, tiny country dictates US policy.

There's a HUGE difference between "people that want you dead"...and, people who've TIRED of the UN deciding (FOR Palestinians) this planet "needs" a Zionist-state...using a TOO-often copied Book, to establish property-lines.

For the ones that want to do us harm, you're darn right. And the current Administration must think so too seeing as how much he stepped up drone attacks.

Israel doesn't have to accept anything. God has pre-determined that and a cursory study of the history of the Nation of Israel will support this assertion/fact.

"I will bless them that bless thee, and I will curse them that curse thee."

Rather simple.

Negotiate with Terrorists, Bad idea. Just because Obama has chosen to do so (IRAN) doesn't mean that Israel should, they are much smarter about their neighbors than our President. Israel can take of themselves, they have more than proven that in the past. Remember, the Iranians have said they will Nuke Israel given the chance, wipe them from the face of the earth they say. Do not be fooled by these terrorists, that is what they are nothing more.

Palestine was not, is not, nor ever will be a state. They have spent their energies wanting to destroy the Nation of Israel. In case anyone isn't looking? Israel has remained strong since its inception (when Jehovah God called it forth). What He does, cannot be undone, period. Israel is strong militarily and Netanyahu is brilliant, not to mention a man with great diplomatic strength.

Let's see Muslims are not human beings. Muslims want people dead. Israel doesn't have to accept anything. Obama is a Muslim sympathizer. The Middle east is smarter than President Obama.

The brain trust of the right has spoken.

Really. "God" said they are special. religion can be the root of most world problems. The "average" person, no matter the faith, does not rant from morning until night. The zealots are the cause of the chaos and why many, many (and it is fact) are turning away from religion.

I suppose that the author supports Iran developing nuclear weapons too.

And the Muslim brotherhood eradicating the Coptic Christians in Egypt.

And what about the Saudi Arabian man's rights under Sharia law to take his sons away from the US court ordered mother's custody?

To Texas- Correct, actions speak louder than words and the Muslims have proven themselves time and again. Your right, look at what they have done to the Christians, Dont hear anybody crying out about that. Step up the drone program please. Tax dollars well spent.

Ya ever wonder why 9/11 happened? Ya think US support of Israel has just a tiny bit to do with it? Why is it that the US is the only country that supports Israel 100 percent of the time? It's too bad all those troops died in Iraq to support our Israeli "friends." What have they done for us lately? I know they spy on the US. Anything else?

So we reward the terrorists and give them what they want as if it will stop the terrorism.. This is sham's version of "spreading the wealth" and PROOF of his own destruction.

Wormer- I think 9/11 happened maybe because we are the Great Satan and infidels who do not honor the prophet Muhammad and live under Sharia Law. And because we support Israel whom I also support. Your antisemitism is glaringly evident.

Alison needs to take a look at the history of the region. Israel has offered a Palestinian state, and more than once. During the Clinton administration, there was an agreement reached that gave the Palestinians everything they said they wanted. They turned it down. The real goal of the Palestinians is the abolition of Israel. It is in the founding documents of all of the Palestinian groups. This is something that Israel cannot agree to. Until the Palestinians recognize the right of Israel to exist, there will be no peace. Unfortunately, this will not happen as long as many Americans are too misinformed or too anti-Semitic to see this.
