Fredzz - All school districts are in the same pension system, so superintendents who move from one district to another simply add additional years to their service under the pension plan and would only draw a single pension. Superintendents negotiate individual contracts with the school boards, so any benefits from leaving the district would depend on the contract, but generally any retirements are dependent upon the superinendent receiving pension benefits from the retirement system, so moving to another district would negate receiving any retirement benefits.

To me, This reads like our school administration salaries are a bit like a " Musical Chairs " system to milk the Tax payers of every dime they can...!!??

Does anyone know if Superintendents that are employed in more than one school district [throughout their career] receive more than one pension / retirement package??
