Chuck, at least you admitted the things he pointed out were liberal spin. This letter should get the left banging the keyboards today. Shaman's fingers will be raw. I predict at least 12+ responses from him.

"What exactly prepares one to occupy the oval office is open to opinion, but GWB has an undergraduate degree from Yale, an MBA from Harvard, has owned a multi-million dollar business (Texas Rangers), and had served as governor of our second most populous state." - George B. Gross Jr.

*

Please. George Jr.'s business-"successes" were as "real" as those phantom WMDs.

Even Ann Richards (accurately) described him as the ONLY person, in Texas, who COULDN'T find oil!!

You forgot to mention that George Bush's daddy got him into Yale and Harvard MBA. I still remember the "deer in the headlights" look he had in a news conference after he signed the TARP agreement in October 2008. The economy was in a free fall and he just looked stunned. Bush misled the American people on Iraq and it had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11. I still don't know why we invaded and what an incredible waste of people and money. It's amazing and the worst President ever. I forgot to mention the unfunded prescription drug benefit. Oh yeah, he wasn't even elected in 2000 and was appointed by the Supreme Court...the list goes on and on and on.

This is sure to win points with the home team and upset the visitors. In the end it reminds me of two male dogs walking around lifting their legs and whizing on trees to mark their territories.

Time to reduce the size of government, reduce government spending, balance the budget, get rid of the political cronies and lobbyist.

Are the current rate, we are returning to an image of the old European feudal society structure where the wealthy large land owners controlled all those that lived on their property. Many people are giving up their money and freedoms for others to take care of them. They are putting their trust in government.

Shaman, I wouldn't put too much blame for 9/11 on Bush. He was only in office a matter of months after Clinton had 8 years, excellent intelligence and plenty of opportunities to get Bin Laden BEFORE 9/11; specifically following the bombing of the Cole.

Shaman, debating with a radical like you is pointless. I served under Clinton and we were disgusted at his lack of action after our fellow servicemen were killed. Especially having the intelligence we had. But you can continue to believe your liberal spin. Have a great day and try not to break your keyboard. You're already up to 6 comments and it's not even 7.

Let's not forget that our current President has appointed a confessed war criminal to be Secretary of State. Somehow, that doesn't strike me as being a savvy foreign policy move.

Enigma- Maybe Obama will make Dennis Rodman the Sec. of State. The spin comes from both sides but I do think more of it comes from the Liberals. All of it stinks and does nothing towards solving the Huge problems we face. We need an actual leader, and right now we don't have one.

Bush got into Yale because of his daddy.

Obama attended Occidental as a foreign student.

Bush never served in the National Guard.

Obama is not a citizen.

This childishness distracts us from the real issues we face as a nation.

I choose not to play.

How about just admitting no one could actually have expertise in all the areas that would be required of any president. No one is an expert in finance, medicine, education, military operations, budgeting, accounting, etc. We are ridiculous to assume anyone. from either party is a master of these varying areas of expertise. Re: 911 warnings. Both administrations failed. Both sides had warnings available. neither side, especially at levels beneath the presidency responded appropriately. presidents are only briefed by subordinates. It's fun to bash each other but the systemic failures have built up over decades much like a dormant or early stage disease that is now fully symptomatic.

Way to be a good lib, or a (so-called) progressive, sham. Way to dodge denying Clinton's responsibilities in his bungling of bin Laden during his term.
