December 26, 2013

As I was snowed in this weekend, I watched some of the national news shows. One discussed the issue of gun control....

Another assumption on your part. How do you know the fathers' aren't around? I know it happens in some cases but not always. Take care Mike

Those three children would be three of God's beautiful creations.

Tell, what possible "good" do you find when a woman has three kids to three men and none of them are around to raise them?

I take back what I said earlier you all do not have god and guns going together. Guns have taken over for God.

I read where people do not respect the Second Amendment, they actually hide behind it. After reading the comments here that statement is very true.

Traditional values for some here is keeping others down while they reap all of the rewards.

Who said that gun culture has not overtaken the USA.

Mike, I've never seen anyone more starved for attention. It must be a lonely life. Hopefully one day soon he will grow up. Seeing as he is a "Vietnam vet" you would think he would have grown out of this childish phase. We would be best to just ignore him and maybe he'll go away and troll elsewhere.

johnnyad3-""One time is a mistake. Three times is planned."

You don't know that."

Well, I'd vote guilty on the circumstantial evidence. You really think that 3 (or more) kids to three (or more) different guys is a mistake? You just can't be that gullible.

underwood-"Traditional values or morality have been largely replaced by political correctness. This has been accomplished and supported by the arts, much of the media and our educational system. That’s not likely to change any time soon."

I agree Phil. It's amazing what a few in the minority can do to vilify the belief system and moral fiber of the many.

Here's an example. As I, and others, predicted, Gay Marriage is opening the door for others. Just recently a federal judge ruled that because of the many Gay Marriage rulings, banning polygamy violates the rights of polygamists.

Boy, we just didn't see THAT one coming. [rolls eyes]

Not in my America. Atheists and secularists are persecuting Christians. Christians have had it tougher than anybody. White people have it the hardest

One last comment. Atheists didn't brag about being atheists, they simply didn't go to church. They didn't try and destroy religion for everyone else. Now, it seems they are some of the most despicable and hateful people breathing.

"I grew up in the 60's too and I remember senior citizens complaining about the youth; how hard they used to work compared to the lazy and ill mannered youth of the day."

Typical liberal. Every good conservative knows the 50s were the best time in USA history. Back when segregation, sexism and beating your wife were all perfectly fine.

Wikipedia:

"The Sixties", as they are known in both scholarship and popular culture, is a term used by historians, journalists, and other objective academics; in some cases nostalgically to describe the counterculture and revolution in social norms about clothing, music, drugs, dress, formalities and schooling. Conservatives denounce the decade as one of irresponsible excess and flamboyance and decay of social order. The decade was also labeled the Swinging Sixties because of the fall or relaxation of social taboos especially relating to racism and sexism that occurred during this time.

The 1960s became synonymous with the new, radical, and subversive events and trends of the period. In Africa the 1960s was a period of radical political change as 32 countries gained independence from their European colonial rulers.

Sorry, but to me, the 60's was the turning point of this country!

Premier - 9:49 AM

Sorry Premier - I grew up in the 40's and 50's. A time when a kid who misbehaved in school was paddled, and paddled again when mom and dad found out. We called adults Mr and Mrs, and showed respect! It was still a time when everyone in town watched out for everyone else....especially the kids. Drugs were not known yet in most towns. And no one used the "4 letter" word. Having a baby out of wedlock was verboten!

The 60's brought hippies, constant use of the "4 letter word, drug use became common, and the country began a downward spiral from which it has not recovered.

Kennedy was assassinated, VietNam was tearing the country apart, and veterans were treated like trash.

Liberal lies about firearms, racism, feminism, poverty etc have created a "victim" mentality in our nation.

The liberal lie about a "social contract" feeds this and leads those suffering from hardship to have false hope of being saved by liberals.

But, lets look at the evidence:

Poverty is at an all-time high today....after five years with a liberal president and two years with an unopposed, filibuster-proof congress.

50 years after "The Great Society Programs", not one poverty indicator has improved.

While there are ZERO signs of success, liberals tell us we are not spending enough on these programs and oppose the most minor reforms.
