I am also "O" positive and gave blood regularly until I started taking synthroid. Then they wouldn't accept it any longer.

My daughter had to have a complete blood change when 5 days old. The hospital called the local Red Cross president. Being the right type, her husband got out of bed in the middle of the night and came to the hospital and donated his blood.

I am looking at open heart surgery in a couple of months for replacement of 2 valves, and may require blood.

God bless the man who saved my daughter's life and all who donate to save others.

I am a multi-gallon donor and lost track after my 10 gallon pin a decade ago.

I am O-Positive, so my blood is desired and I give happily to help others.
