Impressed with CAC

January 10, 2014

I just enjoyed the Blue Man Group show with my family at the Community Arts Center last evening. This is actually the second time we have seen the show, the first time being at a theater in Boston....

Joe Cocker ROCKED!!!!!!

Grand Funk (pretty-obviously) isn't allowed to do their Terry-Knight-years material (anymore)...but, still did well...and, I GOT MY ALICE COOPER "fix", in a PACKED-HOUSE!!!

The only disappointment I can remember, was...Gallagher was (pretty-obviously) discouraged from doing his political-material.

LOL

It is doubtful that any of you are seen as competition to MrShaman.

Hey, world traveler, it's "Lewis" not "Louis"

You know for those who would like to experience a Metropolitan theater production you can purchase a ticket at the movie theater downtown which shows live and filmed productions of concerts, ballets and plays.

We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful venue and to have the varied performances we do every year. It seems there is something for all tastes and the theater also gets use from local organizations such as the Uptown Music Collective. As for the cost, it is based upon the artist and is, I feel, reasonable if you consider your cost to go to Philly, New York or Baltimore to see such acts.

Your post enigma explains a lot about you.

I wish I could go more often, my work schedule makes attending hit or miss. I have been able to see my nephews perform there for county band and choral concerts.

The CAC is a jewel of a venue.

I believe that is based on what the artist cost per apperance. I don't think it is the CAC's fault.

There are a lot of shows I would like to attend 'if only' I had extra spending cash.

You may not need to wears pearls and a suit, but you usually need to be able to afford luxury items to afford tickets to CAC. Glad you had a good time, I've enjoyed most everything I've seen there too, but really have to pick and choose what shows I deem would be worth the $$$ - from my experience it's usually awfully expensive for a family. I've already sent my wife and daughter to shows and skipped them myself to save - I figure it's probably better for my child to get some cultural experience.
