Gotta give Dave credit, at least he's consistent.

I certainly hope he's right about the elimination of property taxes to fund our schools.

Wasn't all the Casino money supposed to eliminate/ cut down property taxes? That worked out well...

Consumption taxes. That's the way to go, and much to Mr. Faust's chagrin, I can FULLY support.

We're working class folks and would absolutely benefit from elimination of our property taxes. The burden of funding for schools should not be placed entirely on property owners.

tgrammiex4, I have benefited for years from the casino/lottery profits through the Homestead Act which reduces my property taxes by about half. I have never spent one red cent in a casino or on the state lottery and have received hundreds if not thousands of dollars in benefits. It has been working out quite nicely for me.

Pennsylvania is second only to Nevada in gambling revenue.

Yet average Pennsylvanians have not seen property tax relief.

Another liberal lie sold to the masses, just like Obamacare.

LBJ's "War on Poverty" transferred over $22 trillion to the poor and the percentage of people living under the poverty line is larger today than before the "war" began.

Liberal ideas fail every time.

Excuse me Roger, but how have you seen your property taxes cut in half? Last year I believe my "relief" in WASD was $132.00

Erik: “Liberal ideas fail every time.”

That depends upon the true intent of those ideas. If the intent was to get more Democratic voters, those ideas have worked quite well.

Mr. Underwood, are you suggesting that "some" liberal ideas are better than conservative ones? Makes sense to me, voters will go with what is being presented as the best ideas. I do however feel that I have taken your post incorrectly.-Scott

The right is consistent in their attacks on liberals. They hate the poor and middle class. They hate public education, safety, commerce and infrastructure. They do however worship the wealthy and wealth.

Mr. Reeder said:

"The right is consistent in their attacks on liberals. They hate the poor and middle class. They hate public education, safety, commerce and infrastructure."

Mr. Reeder uses the ancient liberal tactic. If you do not favor unlimited unemployment, welfare and housing, then you must want to abolish those completely.

Liberals love to offer the choice between unrestrained socialism or nihilism.

If you do not support unrestrained socialism, you do so out of hatred of the poor or minorities.

It clearly shows that liberals have no defense of their wasteful programs and only offer childish "all or nothing" accusations.

At least some of those Raymour and Flanagan commercials let us watch Kathy Ireland for a few seconds. That gives them far more value than some of the predictable posts here.

Last I checked, the Transportation Bill is funded by those using the roadways so not quite sure how corporations got a pardon since it is there trucks on the road. I have often wondered what was in the water down Selinsgrove way because it seems to lead to alot of nonsense letter writing.

Got to laugh at good ole CMReeder. What he sees has hate, I see has working to encourage those trapped by failed policy find a way out. Funny how we yelled about the state transportation bill and how the Corbett Administration has provided more State Dollars to Education than any of other Governor and yet CMReeder says the the right hates education and infrastructure. Further he mentions Safety and Commerce which again are two strong suits of the right. Methinks Chuckie boy ought to go back to bed and get up on the LEFT side so his brain starts giving his leftist talking points correctly.

Ok CMReeder, please explain how and note I took out your last statement because I want you to explain just the first part of your statement. We all already know your talking points explanation for the last part of your state. So, Chuckie ... you got alot of explaining to do!

It's class warfare time!!!! Yes, only RICH Republicans want to starve children and have seniors eat dog food. Now, even though Republicans give more in charity, rich Liberals like the Kennedy's, Kerry's, Corzine, and any politician who's been in office for over one term, CARE for the poor more than anyone else. As we have found out, the Segregationist LBJ and his party figured out that if you give money to poor people every month, they will vote for you. Who cares if we've pretty much wasted 20 trillion dollars; we've got generations of Democratic voters who'll believe anything we tell them. Al Gore said it best to black Americans in Texas when he said, "The Republicans don't even want to count you in the census".... and they believed him!!!! Yep, only the rich Republicans own all the wealth in the U.S. and they keep it in the Caymans.

If you want "rewards" in life then get out there and work for them and earn them. I know it is a novel idea but work has been around for a long time, try it.
