I do love my facts rick.

If you get a chance read this, "The Case against New Great Lakes Oil and Gas Drilling: Michigan Fails to Clean Up Oil and Gas pollution. 9/2001

I want you to read this because of you always saying that the taxpayers would be stuck with the bill, well here is a good example of that.

Rick, I just read some of the articles after searching the same as you. The articles say prairie dust after a dust storm mixed with smoke from manure fires, but is has never been proven that was what caused the plague. So I guess we have to leave it at that as you said it is on the internet so it must be true. ;)

Hey rick, I also read that the plague was caused by outdated vaccines, and the government and the doctors knew about it but gave it to people anyway and people who did not receive the vaccine never got sick. So from what I gathered no one really seems to know.

Guys I hate to say this but I think Bobbie might be on to something. I googled "horse dung dust causes 1918 plague" and sure enough there is a reference to it on a web site called history-world. Something about burning horse dung in Kansas. I don't think it is official as it said some point to this. Who would of thought.

National Geographic Daily News

1918 Flu Pandemic That Killed 50 Million Originated in China, Historians say. January 23, 2014

If you read the article no where in there does it say anything about "horse dung dust" being the cause, if fact it says scientists "are not sure if the question can be fully answered".

So if you are some special kind of scientist Bobbie you better call the National Geographic and tell them they are wrong.

Hey Bobbie, I have no idea where you have been but horse dung dust still exists.

If you are so concerned about it try taking a trip to New York City or New Orleans and make sure to bring a shovel because you will be busy.

Sure Bobbie2 The “Spanish” influenza pandemic of 1918–1919, which caused ˜50 million deaths worldwide, remains an ominous warning to public health. Many questions about its origins, its unusual epidemiologic features, and the basis of its pathogenicity remain unanswered.

Born, please don't think I am badgering you because I am not. I just would like to know how on earth we are to supply our energy needs and use our abundant energy resources to finance our outlandish govt spending (another matter entirely) if we are not to prospect and produce? Again, all human activity comes with risks, this is no different. NOBODY wants to have pollution, but with activity come risks. The trick is to minimize those to the best of our ability. Doesn't that make sense?
