Reeder- People, I can take, it's the Liberal ideology I can't handle. An "Overlord" gov't picking winners and losers and demonizing it's opponents. Out right lies and "spin" from politicians on BOTH sides do nothing to support the greatness of our country and poison the minds of the electorate. Like Al Gore told the Blacks in Texas, "The Republicans don't even want to count you in the census." The sad part is that their minds have been so poisoned by the Libs that they actually believed him....

"Better to be in a car with 4 flat tires," --Cheyenne

++

I don't believe that is the option. With sound fiscal policies, I believe there would be four good tires with a spare on that car.

When money is printed without collateral or backing behind it, it becomes diluted and worth less than it used to be.

Better to be in a car with 4 flat tires, than to be an eager passenger on the S.S. Liberal, the submarine equipped with a screen door hatch.

Who would have thought in just 43 comments and repies we would go from the "Promise Zone" to the "Twilight Zone"! Talking to these people on the far right is like riding in a car with 4 flat tires,"You're going nowhere fast, take the "commonsense bus" and tell the driver to step on it!!!

"Therefore conservatives are jerks." - Chuck

As childish as that is, it's the best argument that liberals have.

CMReeder, I hate to disappoint you but it was all my own work; not part of collectivism orders comrade. Maybe you can Google, Bing, or Yahoo the group of words "Promise Zone AmeriCorps VISTA Maker Education Initiative Tides Center" and let me know if you can find them all together in some conservative web blogger. You will find several of them together in some news articles, blog, etc. but my browser never did find all them together. If there is a weak link in the association it is that Maker Education Initiative seems to be too wholesome to be part of Tides Center or that the links between AmeriCorps Vista and Maker Ed or Maker Education Initiative are still in developmental stages. If you took time to research it and wanted to pick on something, you could have pointed out these "not too strong bonds".

Mercury:

It is clear that Obama only helps people out when someone else is making the sacrifice.

That is the difference between Rand Paul helping people and President Obama helping people.

I suppose comments from the right probably do seem like gibberish to anyone whose mind works on emotion rather than logic. It figures, since if they used logic, they wouldn’t be leftists.

Sham, Reeder, Rick424, et al- of course I'm a bigot, homophobic, and anti-gay.... I'm a Conservative. I don't even have gay friends like I'm sure you guys have many. Why would I even try to make a case against you guys that I'm not. My Bible says, "Love your neighbor as yourself" which I do every day.... can you say the same, you know, cast the first stone being sinless?

Great research Tex. Soros and his Tides Foundation are hard at work to make our country a hedonistic third world country. With the decline of our culture and the denigration of the Christian religion, he will also use a compliant media and the Teachers Union to introduce "alternative lifestyles" and victim-hood into the culture. Television shows and elementary schoolbooks, even in pre-school, highlighting the LBGT lifestyles contribute to the breakdown of family and family values, those values which have made us the great nation we are.

Mercury, your naivete is striking.... the Right has no ambitions to discredit our President. He has done it himself with out-right lies, distortions, cover-ups, violations of his Oath of Office, violations of civil and Constitutional constraints, and yes lies and more lies, and don't forget fraud. The only way he can continue is with the Senate Democrats who've sold their soul following his every dictate. But, he's even loosing his support among some Blacks. You think he's cool and hip because seeming nobody can touch him. Sounds like you've also sold your soul to an ideology over the welfare of all Americans. A huge "Overlord" gov't does not a great nation make!... unless you can show me where it did....

What good is a "promise" zone from a President who promised you can keep your health insurance if you liked it?

I would not trust this President any more than a liberal would trust Bush based on WMDs!!!!!

Promised Zone is not about creating economic growth; it is about government support of a political agenda. A huge wast of taxpayers money.

Maybe some impartial news organizations can start tracking this down. Williamsport S/G, you have been issued a challenge.

Amreeka [film about social injustices] - Through a donor advised fund, Tides structured an MRI to support the film. In order to comply with the requirements of an MRI, Tides worked closely with the donor and the filmmaker to ensure that this feature film had an accompanying educational and social value, in addition to its entertainment value. (So were there any distortions of truth to make American more sympathetic to Muslims that can downplay the atrocities that sometimes occur in the radical Muslim world)

Emerging Practitioner in Philanthropy (EPIP) - see links to [Philadelphia] Generocity [Inspiration Hometown] and other organizations that are taught to be community activists, lobbyist and sophisticated beggars to get donations from individuals, foundations, and taxpayers. They are not focused on making a society of self-sufficient people; they are perpetuating the welfare and transfer of wealth [stealing] and supporting themselves off it.

Honor the Earth - "We're able to promote environmental justice for Native communities using whatever strategies make sense — programs, advocacy, outreach, Grantmaking. Tides enables us to be creative and holistic in how we approach our work," said Winona LaDuke, Executive Director of Honor the Earth.

Honor the Earth’s Grantmaking and advocacy programs center on two areas: Environmental Justice—the defense of the homelands—and Indigenous Knowledge—proactive initiatives aimed at cultural and ecological restoration. Honor the Earth helps amplify the voice of hundreds of Native people and exposes thousands of non-Indian people to environmental justice issues faced by Native Nations.
