Well if you don't like it don't drive on the roads that are funded by it and don't use gas period. Why should my taxes be used to feed welfare when all they need to do is stop these people from breeding and breathing? Why should I have to pay school taxes when I have no kids?

Send the bill to George Soros; he is making tons of money transporting oil from North Dakota to the Gulf Coast. His puppet President won't make a decision on the XL pipeline, because George would lose money.

Oh! Did I just hear a train full of oil went off the tracks, leaked oil, exploded, and caught on fire. How much oil leaked and did no environmental impact? How much fuel do those trains use? What's the environmental impact of not putting in the pipeline?

Texas- You are exactly correct. Soros oil transporting is the only reason the pipeline will not be built, whether under a Democrat or a Republican. This guy is the epitome of evil. He collaborated with the Nazis rounding up the Jews to send to the extermination camps, and confiscating their property and belongings, and said he had “no sense of guilt” about what he did, and he found it “exhilarating”, and liked the feeling of “absolute power”. He has admitted that he helped engineer coups in Slovakia, Croatia, Georgia, and Yugoslavia. There is so much history on Soros it is very hard to believe anybody in government would give him the time of day, unless they are part and parcel of the ongoing coup of the Republic.

It is Warren Buffett who is making massive profits after having a private meeting with the President, then buying railroads.

Of course, it explains why the Keystone XL pipeline is being blocked as it provides more rail traffic for Obama cronies, like Buffett.

Dottie, if you are suggesting that we issue consumption taxes based upon how much you earn you must be off your nut. It's like you don't think we have enough loopholes in the tax code and govt employees running every imaginable agency. The only truly fair way to administer any tax is everyone the same. No preferences no excuses.

Here we go again people with more money have to pay for things I use. If we are going that route why don’t we force then to pay my water/sewer bill while we are at it? My electric bill was high this month because of the cold weather let’s have them pay for it. This is just silly everyone is responsible for the things they use. Don’t get me wrong the way the money is being spent is not correct, but that is another story.

On another note, Gov. Corbett is challenging the liberal ruling on Pennsylvania's Voter ID law.

If you drive and use the roads you need to pay for the repairs and new construction. What is not to understand. Industries that are relying on roads to transport their goods, people, vehicles need to pay also. Their heavy transport vehicles cause a lot damage. The average driver doesn't get the tax breaks industries get.

And where does this tax money go? I for one don't trust any gov't entity with any tax money. You really think these increases in taxes will make a difference in the amount of roads being repaired? I think moneys for pension funds and Philly mass transit (an other unknown destinations) will find there way there.

I have an idea why not have the anti government group grab a shovel and go fix all the roads. They only trust themselves and no one else.

Let Chuck supervise and the road would only take hard lefts.

"Why do the people (average, low, middle and fixed income) have to pay it?"

It might be because they are the ones who use the roads. Who else is going to pay for it? But the problem isn't who is paying, it is how much they're paying. There's also the problem that too much government money is wasted. I don't think the government needs more money, I believe they need better management of the money they already have.

We point to specific people, like Soros, while liberals point at the 1%.

Just like liberals in the 1930s blamed all Jews for the bad economy, liberals today blame all the wealthy.

Liberal group hate on display!!!

CMReeder I agreed with your first post on this subject but you could not let well enough only and had to go make yet another stupid statement:

"I have an idea why not have the anti government group grab a shovel and go fix all the roads. They only trust themselves and no one else."

Better idea would be to let those abled body folks living on the welfare dime go and do this work.

Sorry I meant well enough alone. Boy the Sun-Gazette ought to let you preview before you post like other site do. It would cut down on 1) The number of mistyped comments and 2) Some of the stupid comments.

Okay, number 2 would work only if those making the comments realized how stupid they were to begin with.

Way to go ScottyDogg showing your support for the crass stupid comments from your fellow right wingers about liberals and instead focus your venom for me and my stupid comment. Maybe the S-G should place a filter on your comments as well.
