I bet President Obama does not even mention this tonight. He doesn't care about the mess created by his own FEMA by violating the law.

No, President Obama will tell us how he is going to violate the law even more because he is a totally failed leader.

"As I recall, and I may be wrong, the 'Mission Accomplished' banner referred to the mission of the ship, not the Iraq War" SteelerFan

Yes, you are wrong. When the President delivers a speech declaring combat action winding down, under a banner that reads "Mission Accomplished", the banner is not referencing the ship.

A delay does no good...we need to have it repealed. Until then, no homes in the flood zone will sell. Just like our politicians to stop short.

WAH!!! I want someone else to pay for my insurance forever. Grow up, man up and take charge of your life. Stop looking to government to solve your problems.

It kinda reminds me of, "If you like your healthcare policy, you can keep your policy." And, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor."

Or, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky".

Now, the Libs STILL bring up "Bush lied, people died", with no proof but "it's the seriousness of the charge" that keeps the lie going.

At least Rep Thompson is doing something....you can't say the same about the Obama FEMA, who violated this law and created this entire problem by themselves.

The "gimme" mentality, revealed by this Obama violation, is now trying to be used to unseat Republicans.

Further proof of the sheep mentality.

Texas, but they both did and everyone knows it.

The initial mission was accomplished at that time. Then the situation in Iraq changed from one of removing the dictator to one of securing the country - two completely different objectives. Was it a mistake to have the banner? Probably. It was a mistake to even go there in the first place, but not a mistake to rid the world of Saddam. I'd just as soon see them nuke the whole region and turn it into a wasteland than waste our soldiers lives on an unappreciative country and people who after our departure allow the scum of the Earth to return there for sanctuary.

Or it is like the statement "I have not had sexual relations with........[fill in the blank]"

If Clinton, use the name Monica.

If Obama, use the name Reggie.

He could have said "If you like your flood insurance, you can keep your flood insurance." We believed that one.
