The Washington Monthly - The Magazine - Obama’s Top 50 Accomplishments

I've seen this reference put up here quite a few times.

There was a 1940's German national socialist who once said: “The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.”

Premier and USABorn: You guys and your numbers, maybe I should have put the time line in seconds! As Hillary would say, "What does it matter"! The great part is we haven't had a "BUSHwacker" in office for 2,642,040 seconds and yes I did use a calculator. Now, you mathematicians can figure out how many seconds he THE PRESIDENT has left in office as of Jan.21,2016 (hope I got that one right! Now, Let's get back to commenting on the real article,ok?

USABorn: Ok,Mr.Numbers let me clear that stupid part of your reply up,as of Jan.22,2014 he, THE PRESIDENT is in his 6th year as being as the "sane" world calls him,PRESIDENT OBAMA. Now that being said, I want to thank you for the time line when PRESIDENT OBAMA leaves office, so you and your Tea Partiers better get on the stick and keep trying to discredit him, time is running out! He's still smiling and he's still the PRESIDENT and as I see it,you couldn't do it in 5 OR 6 years but, if you don't try you can't fail. "Hillary 2016" and "GOD Bless America and the President"!

Admit it chuck, you & your lib/(so-called) progressive buddies would be whining up a storm if Bush was as blatant as Obama was at the SOTU.

A little off topic:

Want to see a scene being repeated all over this country? Watch what is happening at this Pennsylvania small business on their health insurance. "A local news station (WTAE****) brings viewers inside one Pennsylvania company (Simonetta's Collision and Car Care) as the employees there learn about their new health care plans under Obamacare."

Change DOT to . and paste to address box.

Okay follow this slowly: First inauguration:January 19, 2009 Second inauguration:January 21, 2013 13-9=4+1=5 years + 9days.

Unless your talking about when he wasn't president but campaigning then that would make you a ___.

Or do you know something we don't?

If one wants to see racism and hate, just follow MSNBC, where they make fun of Mitt Romney's adopted black child by referring to him as an object.

Or when they think "rightwingers" will hate seeing an inter-racial couple in a commercial.

Racism is alive and well among liberals.

Dumbama took office Jan 21, 2009. He has been dictator-in-chief for 5 years as of Jan 21, 2014.

As of this moment, he has 999 days, 23 hours, 58 minutes and 57 seconds left to continue the destruction of the U.S.

"I would ask this question:

"Mr. President, you keep talking about gridlock as for not getting things done but how do you plan to get things done with a party that you have lambasted for the past 5 years?"

Perhaps you could include how the HOUSE has sent bill after bill after bill to the SENATE where Whorehouse Harry has refused to even bring them up for a vote? Talk about gridlock! The dumbocrats are experts at it.

Farmer, it was always my understanding that a presidential executive order is a directive issued to federal agencies under his constitutional powers. I didn't think it included signing "legislation" that effects everyone, such as raising the minimum wage. I thought it was for issuing orders to such departments like the DOD or CIA or other agencies that fall under his pervue, such as Bush did when he used an EO to form The Department of Homeland Security,

Capricorn1: "Just because past presidents have used such techniques does not make them {executive orders} any more legal or tolerable and it smacks of arrogance."

That may be true. How ever the fact (and it is a fact) is, since President George Washington first used the executive order in 1789, every single President since, no exceptions, has used executive orders. So is it legal? Who knows, but that's a rather distinguished list of arrogant rule breakers.

No situation justifies a president to forego the Constitution in order to push forward his personal agenda. Just because past presidents have used such techniques does not make them any more legal or tolerable, and it smacks of arrogance.
