February 9, 2014

I am talking mayors, in particular New York City’s Bill DeBlasio and previously Mike Bloomberg and Gabe Campana of Williamsport. Every year, for years, I have taken bus trips to “The Big Apple”, i....

"From what I understand, the communist running the city got rid of the stop and frisk law"

The "communist running the city," DID NOT get rid of the Stop and Frisk law.

"This is a dangerous decision MADE BY A JUDGE who does not understand how policing works and what is compliant with the U.S. Constitution as determined by the Supreme Court," Bloomberg said. "I worry for my kids, and I worry for your kids. I worry for you and I worry for me. Crime can come back any time the criminals think they can get away with things. We just cannot let that happen." U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin declared Monday that police have intentionally and systematically violated the civil rights of tens of thousands of people by wrongly targeting black and Hispanic men. She appointed an outside monitor to oversee major changes to the tactic, including reforms in policies, training and supervision.

Your probably right eric, at least people like Bernie Madoff, Jeff Skilling, and Ken Lay didn't urinate on you when they walked past in their $10,000 suits.

Darlin, I also don't remember hearing about a communist running for mayor o NYC let alone winning. I'm sure I would have heard about it somewhere.

I'm not sure where you get your information, because I just checked maybe 15 sites in a row on Goggle and I see no major increase at all.

We should take the same position as NYC sweep it under the rug, if we move all these homeless to muncy a huge flood plain problem solved, Those properties are worthless with the high cost of flood insurance so there will be plenty of vacant buildings soon.

You are a naive fool.

Mr. Cohick, I am so glad your Christmas junket to the big apple was a pleasant one. In this season of caring and good will to man, isn't it good to know that the streets have been swept clean of all those less desirable yucky people? I mean really, the last thing you want to see on your vacation is some poor homeless person. Why don't they just go home!!

Alan, Do you know what happened to those homeless people in New York City? Most of them are still homeless, the other's are in jail. Bloomberg didn't fix the problem, he just moved it away from the areas where silly tourists like you go. He swept the problem under the rug. The dirt is still there, you just don't see it. If you're suggesting that's how Williamsport should solve it's problems, NO THANKS!

Were they vaporized? Did the death panels kick in already? Maybe they were sent somewhere for political retraining.

Give Communist Mayor DiBlasio a chance....he has only been in office for a month and has already botched snow removal and supported the exile of political opponents from the state of New York.

The squeegee men will return with the warm weather.
