It sounds like these codes officers want the paycheck, the benefits and the office but don't want to actually go out and do the field work.

The neighborhood I live where this fire occurred should be burned to the ground.

I have reported problems to codes, the mayor and nothing is done. i have seen codes ride by a couch and a chair that belong in a living room sitting between the curb and sidewalk for more then (3) weeks with a free sign on it a direct violation of city codes. just look at the number of abandoned vehicles sitting on the city streets (3) days after a snow storm. if i can see them so can they. lazy lazy lazy.

Hey codes- how did the properties get through not being inspected & without registering??? How about the apartments at the Bridge St Commons?? There are many apartments that are out of violations it is ridiculous, just driving down center city streets, ie: 4th Street buidlings that are apartment complexes and have so many people living in each apartment, unregistered.

Hey codes I read in the police section the other day of a bunch of people being sentenced to prison for drug related offenses, are you shutting down all those rentals? Why not that was the ultimate plan.

Who do the tenants pay rent to? That would be a start,I'd think. I'm sure Codes has already explored those options. Mary Jackson, hey Codes check the 1000 blk of Vine Ave for a multi apartment building that she too owns; that many of her family members live in too. I'd lay money it is not registered either.
