In 2013 Bowman Field saw just 38 home games in just under a mathematical 3 month period. What part of that park is historic? Last time I was there, and trust me it’s been a while I don’t recall anything that could classify as historic. Location? Name? Patrons? Maybe… With a breakdown of $13,157 per game from the 500k it might be a lost cause. The stadium is just not used enough to justify that amount of money in the budget. Someday Williamsport will learn that preservation of historic sites should draw tourism not hinder development and growth as a city.
