Shame on the president and his friend from France, big dinner and everything that goes with it. The closest some people get is Meals on Wheels and a catered meal from Crouse’s for $6.00....

I see that you recognize the similarity of "slamming my head on a wall", and trying to have a "rational exchange" with the poster which this statement was in reference to. I see, at times you do think things through, or is this a case of a blind squirrel finding a nut???-Scott

I am sure in 2016 one of the President's croanies will be voted into office like Clinton...then we will see just how fast this country can fall further from the strong country we used to be!

Dubbya put new drapes and plates in the White House when he moved in. Had to, Bubba and Hillary stole what was there when they left.

Things are looking up!!! You did not get insulting, no nasty remarks, you just compared me to a child. That is one of the nicest things said to me all day!! Thank you for recognizing my efforts at staying young at heart!! Have a fabulous day tomorrow, see ya then.-Scott

farmer,

Thank you very much for the post. I believe you are correct, I would probably get farther by just slamming my head on a wall, repeatedly!!(LOL) but I still try. On a serious note, I believe you hit the nail perfectly square on the head with your remark about not even trying to see other peoples point of view. It is sad,& I believe that this type of mindset is really hurting the country. Again, thanks for the post, & may you, and yours have a Safe, & Pleasant day tomorrow!!-Scott

Scott: "It is called being facetious, or if you prefer, soothing mocking"

Give it up Scott, Eric has no interest in expanding his vocabulary, his mindset, his views, or anything else people have to say. He has forgotten how show respect to people he disagrees with. He has forgotten how to listen to both sides and try to understand where the other side is coming from. He has forgotten how to think for himself. All he knows is that he hates Obama, Demarcates, Liberals, and anyone who ask him to think outside his comfort zone.

I don't expect you to understand this, but if they just toned-down their lavish parties and state dinners (like previous administrations from both parties did) there would be no complaints.

But, you'd rather be facetious and mocking....like a child.

The liberal mindset.....if the dinner can't be lavish, it must pot-luck....there is no in-between.

Liberal stupidity on display, folks!-Eriklatranyi

It is called being facetious, or if you prefer, soothing mocking. Does that help you to better understand?? If not, post again, & I'll try to 'splain it better-Hope your day was stress free!!-Scott

I hear you usaborn. Your outrage is legitimate. What if a politician took a vow of poverty like a monk. If they are accepting private contributions, does that result in bribery? I know of zero politicians, on the Left and Right, who are willing to take a vow of poverty. Instead, they have limos, booze, coke hookers etc.

....and the "liberals" are the one's with "Class Envy"??? In a nut shell: Rich Republican=Good, Rich Democrat=Bad. So very simple & easy to understand, no thinking required.-Scott

"I remember liberals complaining about Nancy Reagan changing the china and drapes in the White House while the economy was weak and people were out of work."

"I remember when conservatives where attacking the lavish spending Jackie Kennedy did while in the White House. I guess they abandon those standards when it is one of their own too."

Having been around at the time, reading the news on these two First Ladies and their changes, I also remember that taxpayer dollars WERE NOT used. It was all paid for through private donations.

No one likes the Dumbamas enough to make private contributions to them for ANYTHING! They prefer burning up the taxpayer dollars by the millions.

*****right. Obama and the Frenchy should be eating freedom fries and French toast. McDonalds. Only ceos and wealthy corporate workers deserve to dine in style. Only they deserve maids and cooks. Politicians shouldn't even be able to afford KFC and burger king

Again, I know Beck is a rock artist, the only Porky I know is a pig and I have never heard of Faux News. Is that a French thing?

This progressive website mentions Rush Limbaugh (not Porky) and Fox News (not Faux News). So, I am still confused as to what these references are. Perhaps they are something that those who engage in your favorite activity use as code words and I guess Reeder has joined you in the activity.

As I recall the Bible has something about Jesus being questioned about spending money in a local crack house instead of on the poor. Think He said, "Them that Got, Gets"

What do you expect the President to do at a State dinner?

If I had to choose between French Food and Meals on Wheels food, I would take Meals on Wheels food any day of the week. On a serious note, be thankful that Meals on Wheels is available. Helping those who are "poor" doesn't mean that all of society should be brought down to the poverty level out of fairness. Time to give up the class warfare, folks. Help those who have less by showing them a way to gain more through hard work and long hours.
