Why is a sub .500 team even allowed to participate in the playoffs?

Mar-12-14 2:45 PM need to look up their schedule. Without knowing the playoff criteria for D-12, you would think a sub .500 team couldn't qualify. But when you stack your schedule with Chester and numerous out of state powers as well as teams such as Imhotep, you're bound to be a very good team considering you're a single A team.

Sorry FortySixand2, I don't believe any sub .500 team should be rewarded with a playoff slot. What's your excuse for District 2 allowing it? Those teams don't play hard schedules yet I repeatedly see Wmspt teams matching up with someone with 2 wins on the season. Even the Trinity team Loyalsock played had a sub .500 record (District 3) entering their district playoffs. District 4 has at least one thing correct in requiring and above .500 mark to compete in the playoffs.
