Health insurance joke

March 14, 2014

Our great president says that everybody must have health insurance. I started looking and found my wife health insurance at what I thought was a reasonable price. I found health insurance for $25....

Merc- you fool, you fool... do you think the "takers" care whether this country survives or not, or will it always be a Republic operating within it's own means. Don't look now but we owe just China over a trillion dollars; and that is just China. Would love to hear your opinion on what you think the TEA party goals are... not someone else's opinion, just yours... you have the floor....

Yeah Scott36, and Harry Reid "heard" that Romney didn't pay taxes for 10 years. I really hope that was a joke Scott because you really would have to be "out of the loop" to believe that ANY gov't entity is run efficiently. Add the fact that we've printed well over a trillion dollars out of thin air and would you believe the dollar will always be the reserve currency?

Scott,

I was just thinking about what you said in your post about wishing someone a speedy recovery. I snickered :) because when you got disagrees, it was probably me you were wishing a speedy recovery. :)

Mr Shaman - Look at the # of disagrees with nearly EVERYTHiNG you post.-DocWoody

1st. off, I usually find your post informative, & well thought out. 2nd. as to agree/disagrees, a lot of it does have to do with the person posting. I once wished someone a fast recovery, & was given disagrees--But then, I lean left on most issues. Just saying-Scott

It has always been my assumption that someone who makes more(or saves more) for a company, goes further. With Gov. it is not set up that way, at least to my understanding.-Have a Great day!!-Scott

Ritty is correct the right does have a plan, it is to repeal Obamacare and turn healthcare back to what it was. Expensive and unattainable.

Yeah like your side would allow that to happen.

Payments on the loan are paid on time. Perhaps you could think of something else?

'My wife has student loans. It has been sold so many times through private loan agencies (like my mortgage was) it has been a total nightmare. I wish the government held the loans."

Perhaps had the loan been paid in a timely manner the loan wouldn't have bounced around. Of course if one expects some one else to eventually pickup the tab it's explainable. Normal people consider it a nightmare when it's the government steals their money.

Life threatening situations are not why the monthly costs and deductibles are so high. Instead, they want to also cover a broad base of more discretionary type expenses.

Yes there is a difference between health insurance and healthcare. That is why I don't participate in certain risky life behaviors and try to take care of my body through diet and exercise.

"Would you rather have A) A person from a "for profit" insurance co. deciding whether or not you are eligible, or B) Someone from the Gov. who decides whether or not you fit into the guidelines. In both cases, the doctor recommends the procedure.-Scott "

Scott, either way, both have a financial consideration, removing objectivity. Your physician, my physician should determine our necessity, not another "doctor" who doesn't know who you are, much less your health relevance.

And, it was a lie, that the amount of people uninsured existed. Most people know how to work the system (who rely on it) and Medicaid is the choice of care (excellent, I might add). I've been on Medicaid when I was going through college and I paid nothing, A lie was fed to the public for years that people were not able to access the healthcare system without unreasonable expenses. There are lots of areas of improvements the healthcare system needs, but you don't tear down the gymnasium because a basket ball hoop needs replaced.

Great letter, and great response, DocWoody!!!

leaningright...great post also!

Rick, I'm not certain people were complaining about the health care failing? I believe many spoke to costs, particularly out of pocket costs. No system is perfect, but my husband and I have Tri Care and our out of pocket expenses are unbelievable..we just make payments. Our deductible is $3000.00 a yr. for both of us plus co-pays. prescription co-pays, etc. As far as we are concerned we pay $3000.00 ea. for health insurance a yr. But, here's the caveat. We don't have to go through the AHCA to get "permission" for every little thing. And, while this is an expense, our complaint is the costs of tests (necessary) that you and I both know the medical suppliers have long since paid for the machine/equipment to give the test.

Hey MERCURY- In case you've been gone- NEWSFLASH!!!!! The GOP HATES the TEA party!! The "Old Guard I wanna just get along" Republicans are going to do everything they can to snatch DEFEAT from the jaws of VICTORY again this election.

See: Mitch McConnell- "We will crush the TEA party."

Cap- very good analysis- "If there's 30 million uninsured, why haven't they signed up?" Fact is, nobody is denied heath care at the local ER. Just look at the number of hospitals in CA who've had to shut down because of all the illegals coming from Mexico for treatment and no way of paying. ObamaCare is about one thing... control. Control over what you eat and drink, if you can have a gun, anything that could possibly be connected with your health up to and including where you live... and you fools will*****it up because it's your loving, protecting gov't doing it....

"Erik, just what is the GOP plan?"

You zutes keep asking the same question and it's been answered many times. Google it! They have plans out there; they call them blueprints. They welcome input and compromise for their proposals, unlike the way Obamacare was forced through, totally partisan, telling lie after lie.

Why is it that we have to have a plan, anyhow? Because the Left says so? Why should the GOP push your statist agenda? What's the Dem plan for debt reduction or entitlement reform? Don't have one, do you? Because you don't think there's a problem with massive debt and dependency. You promote these. Obamacare is just more debt and dependence.

How about the rest of the country that was "on their own"??-Scott

So now they have Obamacare... why aren't they signing up? If it was such an issue for these millions of people that had no insurance, why such a small percentage of enrollments? If this is so great for the uninsured, where are they? And why would you design a system that relies on young healthy people to keep premiums affordable? It doesn't take a genius to realize that young healthy people are not going to make health insurance a priority.

"Here is a question. You work for some evil corporation that has no insurance plan and works you for a tad above minimum wage with no sick days (there are many out there). You have this nagging pain but can't get the time or have the money to get an exam to check it out. One day you fall over. After an ambulance trip (at your expense) to the hospital you find out you have cancer. A type that could have been cured through early detection. Now you have hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical treatments and lost your job because your company doesn't give a crap about you. "

So rick424 you finally read obama's proposed care for the military.
