And frankly, that "R" attached to the sponsor's name, is all we need to know that this is the right thing for PA.-MikeR7

Actually any efforts to keep what is going on in Politics(aside from Nat. security) from being as freely accessible as possible is IMO, highly debatable/suspect.-JMHO-Scott

My comment--written in the style of an ignorant and self-righteous Sun-Gazette editorial: "Takers"--At the Public Trough Let's be clear--This proposed act goes after the so-called Newspaper Entitlement Welfare Stimulus or NEWS. For decades, the hard-working taxpayers have been called upon to pay for this government mandated bailout scheme. Who benefits from this, except a few greedy individuals eager to feed at the public trough? Make no mistake about it, the time has come for these "takers" to learn to live responsibly, like the rest of us. And frankly, that "R" attached to the sponsor's name, is all we need to know that this is the right thing for PA.

Translation-"Newspaper sales are down and we are looking for a way to bolster our income and keep the money coming in that we have."

The truth is that most people no longer subscribe to paper media and look to electronic means to get their news and other items of interest.
