Ahhh, the classic internet troll using a straw man argument to make his point. Who'd a thunk it.

Another supporter of the good ole' days? The straw man cometh?

No Lauri, I do not support gay marriage. I also do not condemn it. If two men or two women want to be married, I couldn't care less. Neither has any bearing on me.

"Yes, I’m sure someone like you still years for those times when America slaughtered it’s indigenous people. Enslaved the black man. Slaughtered each other in order to keep him enslaved. Then later kept him out of our ‘white’s schools. And every now and then decided to lynch him if he looked the wrong way at a white woman. Speaking of women, I’m sure you yearn for a return to misogyny, not allowing woman to vote, or drink or earn a living, and god forbid if they didn’t wear a bra. At least we had prayer in the school to keep everybody in line. Right?" - SWCCrew

Tell you what. If I ever appear before 'your' god, the first thing I'm going to do is knock him on its *##. I don't take lightly to child murderers.

twinder, I am curious do you support gay marriage? My only knowledge of Mormons is nothing... but Warren Jeffs and the shows on tv are certainly not helping people really understand what Mormons believe in. I see Warren Jeffs for example as a child molester and a women and child abuser and a master manipulator. Emotional abuse is just as bad as physical abuse if not worse, bruises heal but the emotional damage that these women and young girls go through will last their lifetime. I am only going by what I have seen and heard about living as a Mormon and I want no part of it. Do I begrudge someone else to chose that, absolutely not, but if you want people to respect what you believe in don't go on a reality tv show and expose yourself and your lifestyle unless you can take critism the same goes for any religion.

Gotta love that "law of thermal dynamics...." can't disprove anything..."

Yes, and that includes six-headed unicorns ridden by ten foot tall leprechauns that shoot through the sky....never mind...

It's obvious you have never studied logic, reason, or any science beyond a high school level.

The good news is today's young are moving away from monotheism in droves.

"Not to worry, though....you won't be alone on your path, at least up til judgment day."

Then again, if god exists, what will you do if it is not the god you worshiped and you find yourself on the A train to eternal torture? You see, in the real world of logic and reason, all belief systems are equally valid, be it thor, zeus, shiva, or your virgin plugger. Actually, you are an atheist. You just happen to believe in one more god than I do.

Tis so funny.....every letter, ever written....on this forum that evokes the name of God....brings about ample supply of antagonism and criticism. If there was a discussion on here about Buddha, Confucius, Hindu's hundreds of gods, whatever...I wouldn't waste my breath and time arguing against something I already don't believe in. It is almost humorous if it wasn't so sad that people argue against the infinite existence that troubles their existence...

You, sir are an angry man. For whatever reason, you lunge out at any type of religious avenues. Not to worry, though....you won't be alone on your path, at least up til judgment day.

I know several people of the Mormon faith. I wouldn't trade their friendship for any other. Every Mormon that I've ever met have children that excel in school and their families are closely knit. The letter writer will be the first to tell everyone that we must accept the gay lifestyle but yet he condemns another lifestyle full of faith. The epitome of hypocrisy.

Do you mean people like Neil deGrasse Tyson. I wonder if he enjoys putting his boot heel on the neck of the creationist nutcases like Ken Ham?

"It's one o' those "traditional-values" trips....

"Wives, be SUBJECT to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the HEAD of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so ALSO the wives OUGHT to be to their husbands in EVERYTHING." (Ephesians 5:22-24)". --MrShaman

Jesus loved the church so much that he sacrificed his life for her. If only husbands would be as loving of their wife.

Maybe these people who have multiple mates are on to something. I have so much on my husbands "honey do" list he could probably use 10 or 12 extra hands LOL. Have a good day. I'll check back later.

"If you want to freely speak your disapproval of their lifestyle choices, then don't deny me that same right."

LOL Yet you do SPEAK freely about your disapprovals. But when that disapproval is proposed to be a law that is where the problem lies. You are not advocating speaking freely your disapproval, you want to make your disapproval into a law.

Mr. Kerstetter, Sometimes the almighty dollar is not worth as much as the laughter of your children and the security they feel when they are with their parents. You and your wife made a good choice.

LauriH, I think most good men would agree. :)

We started out our family with both of us working full time, only needing a sitter for a few hours over lunch because we worked different shifts. When I changed jobs and they were spending more time away, we came to the conclusion that it would be in their best interest for my wife to be home as much as she could with them, so she took a part time job working in a school cafeteria. She was at home in the morning to get them off to school or preschool and was home in the afternoon when they got home. And she was home during the summer with them, spending most afternoons at the local pool. It was rather rough financially, but it was worth it for the kids. Now that they are in college and a high school Jr, like you, she is back to working full time.

If you only knew how tolerant I am. I could careless about who or what someone does but when someone puts their life on display people will voice their opinion. I do feel bad as a woman that these particular women have not had the freedom to chose the life that they want, many were born into this lifestyle. My issue is the children have nothing to compare it to, and that is not fair to them that the choice is already made for them. In Warren Jeffs case many very young girls were married off to old men that is certainly not normal in my book. As you know I am very much about womens rights, what rights were given to these young girls?

"I wonder why conservative Christians and Mormons or anyone else who condemns science and reason" - Yox

Says the guy who couldn't tell you what the scientific method is. I don't know any Christians or Mormons who condemn science. That's one of those baseless insults that liberals throw around to dismiss those they disagree with. Ironically, I have never heard a solid scientific argument from anyone who's said this. All they can do is tell you what they think "science" says. Most of them don't even know what science is, but they've heard of it and had a class in school once, so they consider themselves experts. Kind of the way liberals do everything. If a liberal had to argue facts on anything remotely scientific, they would have to sit down and shut up, so they just use the same tired old insults that they've always used.

Have you ever noticed how intolerant liberals are? They expect everyone to tolerate the things they approve of, but they don't have to tolerate anything. I don't approve of multiple wives either, but then I'm not the one insisting that everyone approve of other deviant relationships. And how can you be so intolerant of a woman's choice? Why are the lifestyle choices made by these women any less valid than the choices liberals demand we all accept? The answer to all of these questions is that liberals are hypocrites. They demand from everyone, what they will not give to anyone. If you want to freely speak your disapproval of their lifestyle choices, then don't deny me that same right.

I feel when you sign up for a reality show and you put all of your "buisness"out there, do not complain when people disagree with any aspect of it.
