I recently reported via the PENNDOT website problem potholes on 4th ST on a Friday morning at about 11 a.m.

I then got a call from PENNDOT at 4:30 that evening with an explanation of their plan to repair them.

The following Monday afternoon they were all fixed and I got a followup email notifying me as such.

Government works if you let it.

Being in the oil business in Houston, we see all those multi-national, multi-cultured people that have moved into Houston and surrounding communities. They are from Mexico, China, Venezuela, Columbia, Peru, India, Norway, Netherlands, Great Britain, Scotland, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Nigeria, Italy, Russia, and of course myself from that far away land of Lycoming Co., PA.

Lauri, don't take Al too seriously. I think it's his attempt at dry humor. You should hear him talk about the elderly. LoL

LauriH,

You forgot the cowboy boots, belts with big buckles, and 10-gallon hats. Don't forget that you need a hitching rail and watering trough for the horses.

Mr. Cohick, what are you trying to say with this LTE; that you are tired of all the traffic on Hwy 220.

AlSever do you have children that go to any surrounding schools? If you don't I will give you the benefit of the doubt but the "look" of many schools are changing. My children went and currently go to Williamsport schools and I feel there is such diversity there already that no one really cares. By the way my daughters 4th grade class has all types of children now, big ones, small ones, white ones and brown ones, blonde hair, brown hair, red hair, blue eyes, brown eyes, green eyes should I go on?

"Gas industry has no local effects?Expect to see a BIG change this fall when the kids entering local Kindergarten classes no longer all look alike. 6 years since the guys from Texas and Oklahoma moved in and you should see the results when school starts. " - WOW - get out much? Amazing that comments like this can come out of someones mouth. Sure don't want any small children that are the offspring of "them foreign" Texas and Oklahoma people mixing with our kids that "ALL" look alike! Embarrassing to even see something like this in print.
