This is so terrible. This is supposed to be an educated man. How is ripping someone's face off going to make them quiet? Wouldn't they just scream in agony as they bled to death? Wouldn't ripping their throats out be a more appropriate threat?

Seriously, they make antipsychotic medications for this kind of thing. I'd like to see him walk up to a police officer and tell him he was going to rip his face off and see what the result was.

Zero-tolerance policies only work against students, not for them, apparently.

Had a student threatened a principal using the same language, the student would be expelled and arrested for making felony terroristic threats. (Yesterday a sixth grader at Harrisburg North Middle School was arrested on an assault charge after peers overheard him making a threat against a teacher.)

Why is the principal involved not being named? Why was the principal not removed immediately? Why were the police not called?

Think how the words "I will rip your face off" could sound to a seven-year-old child. Children that age may lack the linguistic sophistication to realize that this was not a literal threat of physical harm.

This sick scumbag needs to be removed from the school and given a psychological evaluation and arrested.

Think I'm being extreme? Go say "I will rip your face off" to a group of little kids and see what happens to you.

This is completely sickening!! WASD Administration holds all employees to a high standard except administrative personnel. For this to "slip" out is completely warped, who says that?! Many of the students who attend WASD already encounter verbal abuse outside of school. Understandably "slips" happen but for the statement, "this person is used to working with older students" to be said and as an excuse WTH!!!
