USABorn I am sure if I to went on a website I could find the same thing tipping the other way. I am merly yet again trying to find out why now is the time to make all of these cuts to programs that are needed to help your fellow "USA Born" citizens? Many although you can not look past the foolish notion that every single person who needs any type of gov't assistance is just lazy and that is false. Those are the people I am talking about the ones who really need the help, why you do not see that as wrong? Again very clever your post, your hand must be cramped, mine was short and to the point and my own thoughts not what someone else posted on Fox news website.LOL. Have a good night I must go to bed and strive to be like a republican with my 40 hour a week job when I should be home waiting for my handout from Paul Ryan or some other politican like all dems right??? That doobie hes really funny.

Saw this online.....very true!

Why I vote Democrat.....

? I vote Democrat because I think it's okay if our federal government borrows $85 Billion every single month.

? I vote Democrat because I care about the children ... but saddling them with trillions of dollars of debt to pay for my bloated leftist government is okay.

? I vote Democrat because I think it's better to pay billions of dollars to people who hate us rather than drill for our own oil, because it might upset some endangered beetle or gopher.

? I vote Democrat because I believe it is okay if liberal activist judges rewrite the Constitution to suit some fringe kooks, who would otherwise never get their agenda past the voters.

? I vote Democrat because I believe that corporate America should not be allowed to make profits for themselves or their shareholders. They need to break even and give the rest to the federal government for redistribution.

? I vote Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted, so long as we keep all of the murderers on death row alive.

? I vote Democrat because I believe it's okay if my Nobel Peace Prize winning President uses drones to assassinate people, as long as we don't use torture.

? I vote Democrat because I believe people, who can't accurately tell us if it will rain on Friday, can predict the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a Chevy Volt.

? I vote Democrat because Freedom of Speech is not as important as preventing people from being offended.

? I vote Democrat because I believe the oil companies' profit of 3% on a gallon of gas is obscene, but the federal government taxing that same gallon of gas at 15% isn't obscene.

? I vote Democrat because I believe a moment of silent prayer at the beginning of the school day constitutes government indoctrination and an intrusion on parental authority ..... but sex education, con

How about democrats.....

? I vote Democrat because I believe lazy, uneducated stoners should have just as big a say in running our country as entrepreneurs who risk everything and work 70 hours per week.

? I vote Democrat because I don't like guns ..... so no one else should be allowed to own one.

? I vote Democrat because I see absolutely no correlation between welfare and the rise of illegitimacy.

? I vote Democrat because I see absolutely no correlation between judicial leniency and surging crime rates.

? I vote Democrat because I believe marriage is obsolete, except for homosexuals.

? I vote Democrat because I think AIDS is spread by insufficient funding.

? I vote Democrat because I think "fairness" is far more important than freedom.

? I vote Democrat because I think an "equal outcome" is far more important than equal opportunity.

And lastly, I vote Democrat because I'm convinced that government programs are the solution to the hu

Capricorn please show me where I wrote the words "gun nuts"? If you think now is the best time to reform or cut these programs, when in fact the country is now just seeing a sliver of light at the end of the tunnel, that is why I lump all of the people who support that and think that is the only way to lower the deficit. I am confident that there are other programs that could be reformed until the economy grows stronger, what is wrong with that? So until reform of these programs there are people out there with no form of income or barely an income because of the delays of our gov't, and that you seem to care less about. You are more worried about being labeled a gun nut which if you look back I never said.

Lauri, one last point, if government would reform and get control of the massive waste, fraud and abuse in the programs you mentioned, no cuts would be needed for the ones that truly need a helping hand. When would be a good time to start thinking about eliminating the hundreds of billions of dollars annually in waste, fraud and abuse?

Lauri, I really could care less what you say about republicans. I was merely pointing out that gun ownership is nor a republican or democratic right, it's an American right. To label all republicans as gun nuts when there are millions of democrats that own firearms, just makes your "list" less credible. But by all means, trash republicans all you want. That's the way of the new divided America; listening to the talking heads, following the example of our elected leaders, and trashing each other at all cost in order to support your party. It's no longer united we stand, it's divided we fall.

Capricorn you are correct many democrats carry guns, but that is not the most important right that we have, unless you ask a republican. It is the only thing you comented on correct? A little secret come closer......NOBODY IS GOING TO TAKE YOUR GUNS!!! Are you concerned about food stamps being cut for families? Yes some are still having a hard time, what about cuts to medicad? Unemployment extension? Well no worries there they are on vacation until the 28 it will be May before any vote goes through, but they are all free loaders anyway right? Come on boobs start saying it is all because of Bill Clinton, thats all you ever say. You and doobie should go on the road together, or maybe it is really you with another alias?

Boobs I see the scum (you ) still stuck around i thought your kind only came out at night? I do not think all republicans are the problem just the ones elected in the government. Scooby doo I have my paper delivered to my home no hand outs here thanks. I hope the republicans change nothing in their agenda, it wwill be much easier to beat them in 2016. Keep talking Mr. Ryan.

As I read the LTE written by CMReeder and the leftist comments on the latest, I can't help to be frustrated that these poor (no pun) folks just don't understand. I will admit there are budget issues on both sides of the fence. How they get there are created differently. The point being when you list all the "stereotypes" from both parties it really comes down to one thing for me. Republicans trend to have worked very hard for being middle class. Democrats would love to be middle class but it takes too much work. Thus they favor politicians that will give them something for nothing.

You would not even attempt to do #5 without carrying a gun. -Lauri

Lauri, I think you are smart enough to know that painting all Republicans as gun nuts is unreasonable, especially since according to Democratic Underground, there are 25 million registered democrats that are gun owners. Choosing to own a firearm as granted to us by the second amendment is not a republican or democratic choice, it's an American right.

This happens to be one democrat that believes it is governments spending that got us all into this mess, please do not assume all democrats are stupid as the letter wrtiter suggests. I know that there is waste and fraud in all programs but to take and cut programs that help our own people is morally wrong in my opinion. Paul Ryans budget that he would like to have pass cuts every program designed to help people, because there is nothing else in the entire government that can be cut now is there? Republican thinking is not for the working people and that is becoming much clearer every time Paul Ryan opens his mouth. With thinking like that the road to the white house for you all will be a long and winding one.

Signs that you are a Republican:

1. Come into office with a surplus of cash but spend it on the 12+ year war.

2. Cut 4.8 million older citizens out of Medicad.

3. Would rather send money over to other countries to fight their wars, but deny 3+ million of your own citizens unemployment extensions.

4. Cut food stamps to the poor children whom you fight for when in the womb but when they are born to a poor family, the care lessens.

5. Loves to give tax breaks to the 2%.

6. If you get up off the toilet, and you don't think it stinks.

I could go on but you get the point.

Democrats don't believe food stamp fraud is nonexistent. But it is incredibly low. If your concern is fraud, I encourage you to look for bigger fish. -GoVote

I wouldn't call 3 billion dollars annually in waste, fraud and abuse in the SNAP program to be "incredibly low". Or how about the 100 billion annually in waste, fraud and abuse in Medicare/Medicaid? The problem is government and these programs have become so massive that proper oversight is impossible. And the list goes on across all agencies, programs and departments at all levels of government and it's no longer sustainable. To deny it doesn't exist or it's not a problem, is the reason it has gotten out of control.

Probably the most concerning of Keith's gripes is that government is our problem. Government is the power of the people. Ask yourself is the people's power is the problem...or the influence on those who obtain power is the problem? Where does that influence come from?

Democrats don't believe food stamp fraud is nonexistent. But it is incredibly low. If your concern is fraud, I encourage you to look for bigger fish.

Is the fact that Obama was a community organizer before becoming president part of that proof of his circumvention of the constitution? What is the criteria for becoming president in this country? Apparently you think it should be something different than what the founding fathers thought.

Be careful of what you wish for, Keith. You may just get it.
