By now all but the spring PIAA champs have been crowned. Ponder this. Since the start of the sports year, of the roughly 49 PIAA champs, 22 have been unrestricted private/charter schools....

I thought the main purpose of schools was education. Apparently it's who wins in athletics. Who'da thunk it?

So these charter schools have recruiters scouting elementary school playgrounds looking for talent? Am I getting this correct?

Maybe the Charter schools do a better job with what they have to work with.

Agreed. These charter school kids should have to play for the school districts they reside in. The districts are responsible for the transportation of these children to the charter schools so this sounds to me like they still have ties to the school district. That being said they should have to represent the school district they reside in. This would eliminate these juggernauts

I guess they ought to do the same for coaches, athletic spending, quality of athletic facilities, and in the future, genetic engineering!
