Show me the money

April 26, 2014

With the upcoming election season upon us, I started thinking about all those political ads we’ll start seeing. As far as I know the candidates and the party have to pay for those ads....

rick424: Remember,Don't believe everything you read especially if it's in the S/G! Maybe you can get some advise from people like Mitt or John or even the "Wizard of Wise",Little Sarah! By the way is there a 'trophy' for the "stupid comment of the week"?

Mercury really? I will read about the candidates. Maybe go to town hall meetings. I guess those early Americans were not real Americans because they did not see their candidate lying about the other candidate on TV. Man, this takes the comment of the week for stupid.

rick424: So,I guess you're not going to vote next time. I only say that because if you don't know who's running,it's like buying a new car without a "test" drive. You sound like a real American, you know the ones our forefathers fought to give us that right to 'vote'! Have funny watching that "test pattern" on your tv.

No political ads for me. I stream all my television content. No cable, no satellite, no OTA. I hope you guys enjoy those lying, annoying political ads. I sure won't miss them.

Yea,'FOXNEWS' is "fair and balanced",right? Give me a break! I liked when they "saddled-up" with the cattle rancher,"a real hero" "Bigot"! Most of you "righties" watch 'FOXNEWS" because the women wear more makeup than a clown and wear dresses up to their neck! Remember the "snake" involved with Adam/Eve?

You know who else is good at using fact-less, one-sided, ignorant propaganda to try and deceive and dupe people into their ideals? Barack Obama.

Hallelujah, a liberal leaning (at least that is the way many of your responses read) person that acknowledges both parties are at fault. Yes when good ol' GWB and the republicans were in control, they went on a spending spree (bridge to 'know' where - yes they knew where the money was being funneled to) that made liberals proud and ran up the debt.

Come join the ranks of people that are tired of congress as usual and support efforts for a balanced budget. Tough decisions have to be made to not transfer debt to the backs of our children and grandchildren.

Just like all the congressmen and senators that voted for the Affordable Care Act to make the health insurance companies rich. Take money from the citizens and give it to the filthy rich that run the health insurance companies. Now the system is so complex and convoluted that you can't correct it.

Next thing that will happen is that businesses will find it more attractive to pay the penalty and then dump funding health insurance programs for employees. The entire burden will come crashing down on the citizens. People will have less discretionary income to spend on what they need to.

It is all about controlling the money and control has been taken away from the US citizens.

Gregory,

We were due for one of these one-sided, my point only fact, fiction pieces, so thanks for the entertainment.

Instead of pointing out both parties roles in the same campaign finance issues, you play off that the poor ol' GOP is just an innocent victim.

A LTE like this no different than a one-sided, fact distorted political ad on TV or radio from any political party or organization, with the exception you got yours printed for free... presumably.

You know who else was good at using fact-less, one-sided, ignorant propaganda to try and deceive and dupe people into their ideals? The Nazis.

Tell both sides of the story, present the numbers and facts for all parties and maybe you wont sound like such a whiney Republican and possibly make someone not on your side think twice about their previous decision.
