Climate change?

April 30, 2014

I have just read the article on Climate Change which was printed on page 1 of the April 22 edition. The reporter cited Michael Mann as his "expert" on climate issues....

Oh really saggy booby. I usually don't reply to a troll like you. I did my personal research and it is why I posted the evidence last week.

I tell you what, I challenge you to back up your statement that the carbon isotope premise is flawed.

My suspicion is a dimwit like you will not be able to and that you'll try some pithy comeback but you'll never provide any facts to support your statement.

" but the highlight of the evidence is carbon isotopes."

Do some personal research on carbon isotopes Johnny and you'll see how that is a flawed premise.

Krazy - Sorry if I was less than clear about my views. When I have debated this topic it has always been from the viewpoint that humans are not causing climate change. I don't think I ever said that the climate wasn't changing. It has been changing for millions of years. What I dispute is the blame that mankind is given for this change. Phil summed this up nicely but I wanted to clarify my position for the record.

Besides - when have any of the gloom and doom predictions that the "believers" have made been shown to be accurate? Any? Not one yet.

Hi Ritty: You could look at our discussion from last week but the highlight of the evidence is carbon isotopes.

"Sorry your feelings were hurt Vince but you and others do deny the facts. I agree with them."

Which facts most support your belief in AGW?

I doubt if anyone denies that climate is changing; climate always changes. The only issue is whether the change is due to natural causes or is caused by man’s activities. So-called deniers are only questioning the claims that a significant portion of the cause is man’s activities. Considering the politicization of the subject, skepticism is the most logical position to take.

Sorry your feelings were hurt Vince but you and others do deny the facts. I agree with them. Anyway, we already had our debate. We should just agree to disagree with one another. Is that so hard to do? After all, Atlantic City not being underwater has obviously not convinced me that climate change is not happening. And I already told you that no matter what evidence I show will stop you from denying, oh wait, disagreeing, so why continue?

Vince, regardless of the cause, to believe the earth is not in a warming trend makes you a DENIER. Go ahead Vince, link my comment to Hitler.

Yes, Williamsport. The land of civilian/police raids, big time crime, a perpetually bad economy, ridiculous taxes, and terrible weather.

But my God, isn't that Bald Eagle mountain beautiful?

Hey Johnny - I took exception to you calling me a denier in the last Warmal Colding thread. And I take exception to your use of it here. Calling people that see through the hoax that has been perpetrated on us 'deniers' is a perverted use of a word that was previously used to describe people that refused to believe that Hitler came close to wiping Jews from the face of the earth. It is offensive to call people 'deniers' when what they are doing is pointing out how weak and manufactured the Global Warming argument really is. That word is deliberately used by the left because it calls to mind the Holocaust. That by itself should be enough to make their argument be seen for what it really is.

Go ahead Johnny - look at how that 97% consensus was arrived at and you will see just how wobbly the table you are standing on is. Then tell me who is really denying reality.

"I thought Tim Manello said things best in his op-ed on Sunday."

Timmy Boy and Stanley must be related as Enigma pointed out. "I've never understood how a person can take so many words to say so little."

The current % of CO2 in the atmosphere has the same impact on climate change as taking a whiz in the Susquehanna has on the water level in the Chesapeake Bay.

I agree with Texas with the effects of global warming we are helping to prevent the next ice age. We should all give ourselves a pat on the back.

Using those four data points, I guess that one could say there is no global warming.

Now what if we didn't have all those extra carbon dioxide molecules in the atmosphere, would we have achieved even colder record days!
