I don’t think acts of kindness and helpfulness have gone away, there just aren’t as many people practicing them; most people do though.-underwood

Mr. Underwood, I believe(and hope) you are correct. It seems that the negatives get more attention than positives. I believe that there are far more "good" folks than "bad". Have a Great night-Scott

Charles, I believe most people do acts of kindness to help people and feel good about themselves not to receive recognition or a pat on the back. JMO.

Acts of kindness should be recognized and highlighted not taken for granted. I don't believe there are less people doing acts of kindness, they are just taken for granted.

The shopping cart, ask for the emptied one from another in the parking lot. I have done that many times and the person is always glad to.

Good LTE with nice acts of kindness and charity on display.

Concerning the comment....."Look down and pick up one or two pieces of garbage around you." If people weren't slobs and threw their trash on the ground to begin with, there would be less to pick-up. Some think the other guy is a maid to clean up behind them.
