Enigma, David Faust is a liberal. He writes ridiculous LTE's here and in other central PA newspapers. Like most of his ilk, he doesn't let facts get in the way of his opinions.

Clarabell "Life would be so much greater in the USA if we got rid of those pesky school lunches"

That would save the schools alot in garbage bills. Kids don't eat school lunches since the first "lady" took charge.

" the profits of Pennsylvania's corporations are NOT taxed to pay for the roads,"

PA has the highest corporate income tax in the country. Why don't people check before they say such ridiculous crap.

Get rid of the crony programs, reduce entitlements.-ToTEXASfromPA

For sure!! Life would be so much greater in the USA if we got rid of those pesky school lunches.(someone should introduce these kids to the refrigerator--as Limbah suggests) But at least you are admitting--kinda--that Corbett is raising taxes. As to "Crony programs", are you referring to the Del. Loophole, or one of the other Corp. welfare programs?? Have a nice, quiet day in Texas!!-Scott

Premier: I assume by "truck" you mean tractor trailer/CDL vehicles when you say average of $1400?

I'll assume by the title that David is a Liberal and therefore the letter makes perfect sense.

Let's see, average truck registration of about $1400 per year, diesel tax of .51 cents per gallon in PA [highest in the nation} and each truck pays about $6700 in fuel tax per year, Act 13 impact fees {that most municipalities are not using for road repair} plus the Corporate tax, state tax and federal tax. And in Pa I'm sure there is a host of other tax's I'm not touching on.

Yeah, Liberal thinking "Tax the sh** out of them".

Hey dude, like both parties increase taxes on the citizens and businesses to pay for their crony programs. Federal debt still climbing up and up and up and up with no end in sight. Your portion of the bill will be passed on to your kids and grand kids.

Get rid of the crony programs, reduce entitlements.
