I saw where Pete White had a march against the removal of the basketball hoops in Memorial park and Newberry. As they did the march there were three little kids dribbling basketballs on the sidewal....

First off the march wasn't organized by Pete White. Secondly it was Pete white Sr. not Jr. that was yelling at the police.

Ok Mr. White got a bit dramatic, but the mayor is acting like a child. What problems at Memorial Park? Litter? Park and Recs job I would think. Litter is everywhere and we pay people to clean it up, looks like we deserve a refund, they failed. No shootings at the park, unlike Flanigan. I pass the park daily on numerous occassions and see no one utilizing the "new courts" not sure who provides the equipment needed for pickle ball, the city? Do we buy our own? Who would be in charge of said equipment? If the police had time to make sure no one played on that portable hoop, per the mayor, then they would have time throughout the day to patrol that area. Taking thoses hoops down had nothing to do with BB or illegal drug deals, I think it had alot to do with the new construction a block away.

Pete White Jr needs to focus on his inner demons before he tackles someone elses problems. That guy is a trainwreck on a daily basis! By the way, good riddens to those hoops; there was nothing but problems at Memorial Park. Now people want to say that those hoops are needed to help curb violence. Thats just rhetoric of a group of people who just want to cause problems. First off people, spend time with your kids, give them good role models to look up to, stop creating drama, take responsibility for your own, show some initiative.
