What kind of president?

June 23, 2014

A recent letter to the editor described President Obama as a traitor on the level of Judas Iscariot and Benedict Arnold. It is refreshing to read someone who actually questions power....

"Everyone who voted for Obama should be ashamed of themselves. They should be apologizing to conservatives."

--

I'm sorry that you think you are owed an apology. That's whats wrong with this country, people seem to think other people owe them something.

Jerry, I love the double meaning but honestly, not a truer statement could be made on these boards today by any liberal or conservative. Well said.

First, has Bergdahl been brought up on any charges? Since he hasn't, the policy of our armed forces is to leave no one behind. It seems to me one of Brgdahl's problem is that Obama was involved in bringing him home. I wonder if Romney or McCain was President (and McCain understands being behind enemy lines, and performed the same act, would there be this kind of criticism. If, if, after investigation, he is found guilty of any wrongdoing, then throw the book at him. If he is innocent, I hope people who are trashing him apologize to him and his family.

Second, what money is Obama stealing?

hope-good question, since you threw it out there, what do you think would be happening if Obama was conservative?

Latest Gallup poll ratings:

B. Clinton 64% favorable 34% unfavorable

Senior Bush 63% favorable 31% unfavorable

Junior Bush 53% Favorable 44% unfavorable

Carter 52% favorable 32% unfavorable

Obama 47% favorable 52% unfavorable

Just thought I’d throw that in.

"Can you just imagine what would be happening in this country if this President was a Conservative?"

Probably the same things as the last Conservative president. Inches away from a second Great Depression, economy losing 800,000 jobs a month, auto industry in the crapper, starting manufactured wars, being denied health insurance because of pre-existing conditions, practically non-existent response to natural disasters. Ah, the good old days.....

Rumor has it that Hillary is female, more at 11.

You left out where Republicans and the Tea party ranked, way below Obama.

The amazing part about those rankings from gallop only show that once out of office people forget. The former Presidents all had low favorability ratings before they left office.

Obama is about on the same level as most of the former Presidents at this time in their career as President.

Bet that poll was taken before the return of hostilities in Iraq.

Most of you said what needed to be said. Majority of votes wins the election. So for the previous eight years and an 11 year war in a country we should never have invaded and occupied. Do all conservatives owe all Liberals an apology for the previous admins eight years in office? My husband served in that war and it was a sham, if most people only knew the facts they would be apalled. Our troops should NEVER be used as private security for oil companies or any other industry!

Everything’s not a Democrat/Republican or liberal/conservative issue unless your interest is in trying to blame the other guy. Let’s look for ways to solve America’s problems.

Silverfeather- Iraq or Afghanistan?, whichever your referring to, it doesn't matter.Did you consider for even one minute that Iraq sent their WMDS to Syria, They did gas the kurds you know,or dont you believe that either? (Lets throw down a red line here like in Syria) They must have had at least some wmds to do this gas attack on their own people. Personally im glad it was done and he is dead. Call the war in Iraq anything you want but removing that Idiot was worth it. Our troops should not be abused or used at home by the VA either, let alone by their own country, dont worry though, Obama has control of it right? I know, it is all GWB'S fault , i understand.

"What kind of president?" —Paul Goldsmith

The serial lying kind. Here's the first one:

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God."

Well, yes, but if he is an educated man who thinks our Constitution is severely flawed, he wouldn't have any intention of protecting or defending it.

That's the way I see it and that's the way it's playing out. The Constitution is an obstacle to Obama and like thinkers.

Your full of it Ritty. I spent 4 years of my life in the military just so you can think and say as you wish. I am glad my time was not wasted.
