ERIE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities have identified a grandfather and two boys who died in a northwestern Pennsylvania house fire over the weekend.
Police in Erie County told the Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/1lVg8jT ) that the victims were 68-year-old John Amacher, 4-year-old Jacob Waldinger and 3-year-old Aidan Waldinger.
Deputy Coroner Korac Timon said all three appeared to have died as a result of the fire, but toxicology and other tests would be done to confirm the cause of death.
The blaze was reported at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in Harborcreek Township. Jim Hawryliw, chief of the Fairfield Hose Co., said the multi-story house was engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
