Accompanying the album’s release is their new video featuring Susquehanna Valley scenes — available now for viewing on YouTube.
The release offers more than a dozen original new songs available for previewing and downloading as well as their Christmas classic, “Christmas Once Upon a Time” — the No. 1 Christmas song in the world for 46 weeks during 2003 on the world’s largest Internet music subscriber system.
“This new Christmas album is actually slated for full international release around Christmas 2008,” band member Rick Buck said. “But we wanted to offer our fans here in the valley this special preview.”
The band has been in the studio writing and recording since returning from their World China Tour. Three full new albums will be released by the band during 2008, according to USAgency Entertainment, the band’s management.
The band has traveled the world since their debut concert performance at the Scottish Rite Auditorium, “America Standing Tall” the United Way Concert for Lycoming County. They donated thousands of dollars to help with relief efforts following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
With more than a million plays from fans in more than 150 countries, The Front Porch Band shot to worldwide acclaim. The band has been known for creating their own brand of original American country. All six members are singer-songwriters residing in the Susquehanna Valley.
