County court doles out wide variety of sentences

Twenty-three people recently were sentenced in County Court.



Sentenced to state prison were:



• James Bower, 20, 1040 Pine St., Cogan Station, one to four years for burglary and conspiracy.

• Jason W. Shifflet, 25, 41 Longview Drive, 18 to 36 months with five years probation and $4,196 restitution for theft of firearms and identity theft.

• Mark A. Burkhart, 46, 610 Highland Lake Road, Hughesville, one to two years, three years probation and a $500 fine for sexual assault.



Sentenced to County Prison were:



• Vick R. Marshall, 25, 106 Hidden Valley Road, Linden, 60 days to 12 months less a day, a year probation, a $1,000 fine and 100 hours community service for corruption of minors and fleeing and eluding police.

• Natasha Rush, 24, 750 W. Edwin St., 72 hours to six months, a $1,000 fine and 50 hours community service for driving under the influence.

• Michael J. Hopple Jr., 28, 544 Jobs Run Road, Jersey Shore, 48 hours to six months, a $500 fine and 50 hours community service for driving under the influence.

• Jeffrey W. Campanelli, 47, 1063 W. Fourth St., 72 hours to six months, a $1,000 fine and 50 hours community service for driving under the influence.

• Michael A. Heikes, 47, 1425 McKee Road, Cogan Station, 48 hours to six months, a $500 fine and 50 hours community service for driving under the influence.

• Kristen E. Chase, 42, 309 Sydney St., South Williamsport, 48 hours to six months, a $500 fine and 50 hours community service for driving under the influence.

• Billy J. Hammons, 26, 419 Penn St., 12 months to 24 months less a day with two years probation and a hearing to determine restitution for aggravated assault, accidents involving damage and reckless endangerment.

• Benjamin Fink, 20, 511 Lockcuff Road, 24 months, $70 restitution and 100 hours community service for delivery of a controlled substance.

• Richard Seville, 38, 615 Wilson St., eight to 24 months less a day, $91 restitution and 100 hours community service for robbery.

• James L. Davis, 21, 500 High St., Jersey Shore, 72 hours to eight months, with 18 months probation, $848 restitution, $1,000 fine for driving under the influence, criminal mischief, driving under suspension and unauthorized use of a vehicle.



Sentenced to intermediate punishment were:



• Luke A. Buss, 21. 297 Stryker Ave., Montgomery, six years, $32,000 restitution and 1,000 hours community service for burglary and conspiracy.

• Dale A. Blackwell, 35, 1124 Heilman Road, Montoursville, six months with 72 hours in the Pre-Release Center, a $1,000 fine and 50 hours community service for driving under the influence.

• Michael S. Doane, 53, 2409 Brushy Ridge Road, Montoursville, five years and three months with one-year work release, a $3,500 fine and 50 hours community service for a third driving under the influence along with driving under suspension and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

• Richard L. Kurtz Jr., 41, 2354 Route 14, Trout Run, five years with 90 days in the Pre-Release Center, a $1,700 fine and 50 hours community service for a second driving under the influence, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Maryanne Savage, 41, Muncy Valley, five years with 90 days in the Pre-Release Center, a $1,500 fine and 50 hours community service for a second driving under the influence.

Sentenced to probation were:



• Tammy Kulp, 35, 46 Second St., Antes Fort, three years, a $200 fine and 50 hours community service for retail theft, conspiracy and corruption of minors.

• Dustine F. Seese, 18, 3731 Lycoming Creek Road, Cogan Station, five years, $4,586 restitution and 500 hours community service for burglary.

• Jeremy L. Persun, 22, 25 S. Main St., Montgomery, 12 months, $14 restitution and 50 hours community service for access device fraud.

• Brett T. Gair, 18, 516 Washington Blvd., one year and 50 hours community service for theft by unlawful taking.

• William E. Baier, 38, 653 Hepburn St., six months and 50 hours community service for bigamy.
