Ismail Atiyeh Ahmed Elliftawi Jr.

Ismail Atiyeh Ahmed Elliftawi Jr. (Mikie), of Montoursville, passed away March 24 at home.

Born Sept. 21, 1977, Ismail attended Williamsport Area School District.

He was a past member of Pennsdale Volunteer Fire Company. He was a graduate of Mount Joy Trucking Academy.

Ismail is survived by his long time companion, Michelle Loner of Montoursville. He was the proud father of two daughters, Naheda (Nina) Elliftawi at home and McKenzie Petrarca of Pennsdale, and a stepson, Chad Petrarca of Pennsdale.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary June Rossman-Elliftawi and a brother, Isreal Elliftawi.

Surviving are three brothers, Atiyeh Elliftawi and Ahmed Elliftawi of Williamsport, also Kevin Rossman of Auburn. Ismail had a brotherly love for a long time family friend, James Harris of White Deer. Also surviving is his father, Ismail Elliftawi of Jerusalem and several other brothers and sisters from out of state. Numerous nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention.

Ismail was an enormous fan of the band “Styx”, and he had a love for his brothers and his extended family. Ismail enjoyed a good game of whiffle ball with his brothers. Ismail’s life passion was being part of the Pennsdale Fire Company where he volunteered a lot of his time. He also spent a significant amount of time researching his Palestinian heritage.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
