May 11, 2008
Williamsport Sun-Gazette
Nancy Baumgartner will present “Mother, a Family’s Master Gardener” at Lycoming Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Mother’s Day luncheon Tuesday in the Hillside Events Catering Banquet Room, Best Western Inn, 1840 E. Third St.

Baumgartner will explore the idea that mothers seed, weed and feed their children using some of the same philosophies that they employ when creating and managing their flower and vegetable gardens.

Gwendolyn Hock will offer some words to gardeners. Hock, an organic gardener for 30 years, was trained as a Penn State Master Gardener but is inactive in the program.

Hostesses for the luncheon will be chairwoman Jean T. Heller, Ruth Waltz and Gladys E. Widemire.
