Car crash kills Mifflinburg man
MILTON - A car struck a large tree in West Chillisquaque Township on Wednesday, killing the driver and injuring the passenger, state police here said.
Tyler Zimmerman, 18, of Mifflinburg was driving south on Route 405 at an excessive speed when he lost control of the car at 9:25 p.m., police said.
Zimmerman, who police said was pronounced dead at the scene, veered off the road and was trapped in the car with a 15-year-old male passenger.
The passenger, who police said is in critical condition, was taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
