Concrete repair and shoulder paving among improvements planned on Route 220

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation issues the following travel alert for the Route 220 betterment project in Clinton County for the week of November 17. The entire roadway project, north and southbound, extends from 2 miles north of the Route 220/Route 2008 intersection to the Lycoming County line. Project work includes concrete repair, shoulder paving, guide rail installation, signing, and bridge deck repair.

Salona/Mill Hall: All lanes of northbound and southbound Route 220 are open in this area.

Woolrich/McElhattan: All lanes at the Woolrich/McElhattan exit are open to traffic.

Woolrich/McElhattan to Avis: Traffic will remain in a single lane pattern in the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 220. Line painting, barrier removal and general clean up will take place throughout the week. By November 21, all lanes in the northbound and southbound directions will be open to traffic.

Avis to Pine Creek: All lanes are open.

Salona to Pine Creek: New road signs will be placed at various locations throughout the project on northbound and southbound 220 and several of the entrance and exit ramps throughout the week. This may require shoulder closures in various locations.
