Walter F. Hudnett, 86, of Crawford Road, Watsontown, formerly of Flemington, NJ, passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing Unit, where he had resided the past few months.
Born August 23, 1922 in Flemington, NJ, he was the son of the late Lambert and Edna (Bacorn) Hudnett.
A truck driver, he retired in 1987 from Pittsburg and New England Trucking Company, where he had worked more than 30 years. Following retirement, he was employed at National Parts Supply in Flemington, NJ. He was a farmer and horse whisperer on their family farm.
He is survived by his loved ones, Patricia Hudnett at home; Terry B. and Nancy Hudnett of High Bridge, NJ; Walter Hudnett, and Brett E. and Denise Hudnett, all of Ringoes, NJ; Anthony J. Talamini III, Wind Gap; Joseph L. Talamini, Newport News, VA; Denise M. and Bruce Willever, Riegelsville; Alvin D. and Carol Yoder, Sunbury; Brandy L. Hudnett and Craig Heater of Lake Hiawatha, NJ; Terry C. and Nancy Hudnett, Fuquay-Varina, NC; Evan and Erin Hudnett of Ringoes, NJ; Kendra Hudnett, Kansas City, MO; Cindy Hudnett, Kansas City, KS; Madison R. Hudnett of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Joshua W. Talamini and Sabrina L. Wickline, Norfolk, VA.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Saunders.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31 at 4 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
