Beware the politician pushing you to approve his program saying, "we don't have time to delay, we must act now!" It's will leave you in a bind.
Our elected representatives were stampeded into voting for a record-breaking budget without even reading it. They've done us, and the country, a huge disservice by not doing their duty. Shame on those who went along with a pork bill with a socialist agenda buried in it. While we all argue about the pork, the hidden agenda moves forward, including socialized medicine. While we all argue about AIG, the Treasury printed a trillion dollars. Plus a power grab by Timothy Geithner; who knows where that could lead?
Our spending has got to be cut back: stick to fixing the credit problem. Forget the grand socialism plans; they aren't working in Europe, and we should learn something from that. America is the home of the free, the land of equal opportunity to succeed: Not the home of the entitled free dole from cradle to grave.
Here's a hint. When our liberal administration agrees something is terrible, watch out: It's a smokescreen to keep us distracted while something else is being done that he doesn't want folks to discuss or express their outrage.
Am I outraged? Yes! As a vet from decades ago, I'm appalled by where our country is headed. We should be writing and calling our representatives to let them know they answer to us for the job they're not doing.
