Family fun fest to be held Saturday in children's wing
A family fun fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kathryn Siegel Welch Children's Wing, James V. Brown Library.
The event is for families with children entering kindergarten in the Williamsport Area School District this September and will include giveaways, storytimes, crafts and activities.
Each child will receive a pencil case with school supplies and a copy of "If You Were a Penguin."

Library Friends hold bookstore grand opening
A Friends Favorites bookstore grand opening celebration will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the James V. Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St.
Used books and media will be half price for one day only.
Friends memberships will be available.
All proceeds benefit programs and services of the James V. Brown Library.
Arts Festival focuses on kids
LEWISBURG - The 40th anniversary Lewisburg Arts Festival is full of events and activities specifically for kids - and the "young at art."
A Market Street Show will be held on Saturday and a special children's peformance will be held the following Saturday.
Saturday will feature a chance to work with pottery with juried artist Mike Yoder of Milton.
Soldiers' Park is the hub of activity for kids, where the Lewisburg Area Recreation Authority will host a Kids' Activity Tent.
At 3 p.m. May 2, a free kids' concert by Billy Kelly and the Blah, Blah, Blahs will be held at the Lewisburg Hotel, 136 Market St. Kelly and the band will debut their new album, "Thank You for Joining the Happy Club."
The Lewisburg Arts Festival, which runs April 24 to May 15, is free and open to the public.
