Daryl Lewis began his journey 17 years ago when he would D.J. area weddings. Since then, his company has grown to a sound and lighting, video projection, entertainment providing and balloon decorating super outfit.

"We are basically an on-site production company, Lewis said.

Over the years Lewis's company, Datman Productions, has morphed into a one stop on-site production shop.

Services offered by Datman Productions include ballon decorations surrounding a projector screen.

In fact, according to Lewis, the services for Movies in the Park at Brandon Park was provided by his company.

Some of what they provide are audio visual equipment along with set up and technical expertise, sound and lighting services, balloon decorations, and the occasional D.J. service. They even do backdrops.

High quality video projectors with choices of live or pre-recorded video, video loops and powerpoint presentations are made available on LCD projectors which can handle input from several sources.

Sound and lighting services have been provided for corporate and outdoor events, concerts, parades, festivals, political campaigns and air shows.

According to Lewis, he is the only one in the area that carries the variety of services he provides.

"Almost all of the folks who have been to an event that we have, the number one reaction that we get is, we had no idea that you did this. The other comment we get is, we had no idea that someone in Williamsport did this," Lewis said.

Lewis is surprised at the changes his business has made over the years.

"It has vastly changed. I have always enjoyed the D.J. aspect of it. If you would have told me 15 years ago that it would be to this level, I would have never thought that. I enjoy the technology side of it, the challenges of making events come together," Lewis said.

Daryl's wife, Beth Lewis jumped on board and leads the creative part of the business, making extravagant balloon decorations.

"It (decorations) was a spinoff on the wedding receptions. I did many wedding receptions. Over the years I kept performing at larger receptions and more equipment was needed. She (Beth) expanded into the decorations from the weddings and as everything goes, it just progressed," Lewis said.

"He was working every weekend. So, I thought I would too," Beth said.

They also provide casino nights.

According to Beth, they pull out all of the stops for the casino nights. They provide the tables, decorations, raffle tickets, chips, cards, dealers, machines and anything that would be needed for the event.

"We either do them for private corporate events or social events such as weddings, birthday parties, holiday parties and that sort of thing. It becomes an alternate source of entertainment for them," Beth said.

Casino nights are used to benefit fundraisers as well.

The Lewis's gladly work with those on budgets.

"We try to give them (prospective customers) solutions on how to do things on a budget, or what we can offer them. We do this on any type of event from a birthday party to a corporate event from a small delivery to a large event," Beth said.
